Mr. Plinkett’s The Star Wars Awakens Review

In the mood for a cynical review? Are you not feeling as enchanted with the new Star Wars movies as everyone else seems to be? Here’s an oldie you may have missed – or maybe you didn’t, but it never hurts to give it another watch. It’s long, so pop some popcorn or find your favorite snacks and let’s settle in for some very opinionated Star Wars chat.

You know we love Star Wars here. I’ve loved Star Wars since my earliest memory and writing for this site for so many years has been one of my greatest pleasures. That said, there are still things that can annoy me about the franchise. Can you relate? I’m not a 100% unconditional fangirl. This is even truer since Disney took over and the franchise we grew up loving started living by the Mouse’s rules. Still, anything that brings more Star Wars into our lives is a good thing in my book and I’m happy to see a new generation of youth getting to appreciate the latest films. Still, it can’t be all roses and sunshine all the time and it’s not, that is, if Mr. Plinkett has anything to say about it.

A review of The Force Awakens and much much more…

(will contain spoilers but if you haven’t seen it yet, that’s the risk you take, right?)

Have you seen The Force Awakens? Here’s a review to end all reviews. If you’re not familiar with Mr. Plinkett or Red Letter Media, you can learn more here. This isn’t your traditional happy-go-lucky review. You might see some truth bombs here. You might not agree with it all. Or maybe you will. You might find it offensive.

A child of the Nintendo generation, she believes they just don’t make games like they used to but sometimes, they make them even better! While consoles will always be her first love, Lisa spends most of her gaming time on the PC these days- on MMOs and first-person shooters in particular.
