If you are a SWTOR fan who also loves Instagram, then you’ll be happy to hear this news. SWTOR is now officially on Instagram!

The new SWTOR official Instagram account is up and has 821 followers at the time of this post. They only have three pics up so far but we think if they are making an official push on IG, this might pay off in the future. What do we mean by that? Well, if their social media team knows what they are doing, it might mean we see behind-the-scenes action in the studio, upcoming events or sneak peeks at content and other fun stuff that only those who follow them on Instagram will see.

Right now they are sharing:

  • Gamorrean bust from LucasArts gifted to Bioware to celebrate the launch of SWTOR
  • Signed Stormtrooper helmet from the Bioware Mythic team commemorating the head start launch of SWTOR sitting in the Bioware Austin lobby.  (I saw this personally on my visit there.)
  • And the good ‘ol SWTOR logo with a caption explaining what they are all about: “Welcome to the STAR WARS™: The Old Republic™ Instagram account! Here you will see screens, concepts and images from the game as well as a little slice of life from around the Bioware Austin studio!”

So it’s less than 24 hours old right now but we can’t wait to see what else they have planned for it. And as always, we’ll be following the updates for you and will bring you anything interesting and important as soon as we know about it.

A child of the Nintendo generation, she believes they just don’t make games like they used to but sometimes, they make them even better! While consoles will always be her first love, Lisa spends most of her gaming time on the PC these days- on MMOs and first-person shooters in particular.
