Lego Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga Will Not Have Microtransactions

Lego Star Wars The Skywalker Saga

TT Games designer Mike Consalvey confirms that the new Lego Star Wars game, The Skywalker Saga, will not have any microtransactions. This is big news for gamers interested in playing this new LEGO game, but who are fed up with microtransactions that can really have an impact on the games we play. What will it have instead? A new currency called Kyber Bricks is used in place of the gold bricks that were a staple of every LEGO game that came before. Kyber Bricks are a spin on Star Wars’ Kyber Crystals, which are used to power the Jedi and Sith lightsabers. ” So yeah, with Kyber Bricks, essentially… if you know about the history of LEGO games, in general, we have Gold Bricks. Kyber Bricks is that sort of same collectible; the method of collecting Kyber Bricks is pretty much the same as Gold Bricks. But in this instance, we’re using them to add different…

‘Lego Star Wars: The Force Awakens’ Tops UK Sales Charts

Just how well is Lego Star Wars: The Force Awakens doing since its release? Well, pretty darn good. It’s even topping the charts in the UK. Gamespot is reporting that for it’s debut week, which ended July 2nd, Lego Star Wars: The Force Awakens shot to the top of the United Kingdom’s sale charts. It came in over big titles such as Overwatch, Doom, and FIFA 16. Stats also show that it is the fourth largest Lego video game launch ever. It comes in behind Lego Indiana Jones, Lego Marvel Superheroes and Lego Batman. So these are some pretty awesome stats for the game already. You Can Play J.J. Abrams in ‘Lego Star Wars Awakens’

Here’s one more fun fact about LEGO Star Wars Awakens: You can play J.J. Abrams in the game. Seriously. This is a thing. We’ll just let that sink in for a minute. So the series is known for making silly games but here is one we didn’t see coming. Are there people (kids even) out there playing this game who just really, really wanted to play as their favorite movie director? My guess is it was really just a way to recognize Abrams for his hard work and great job on the latest film. Honestly, it’s a fun little way to honor the director in a fun little game based on the very popular movie. Actually, they put Abrams and Kathleen Kennedy in the game as LEGO figures so it definitely seems like a nod to the people who helped make The Force Awakens happen. And honestly, even if the kiddies don’t get it,…

Looking for something fun from LEGO Star Wars? Here’s a trailer that got me excited, since I’m a big fan (so are my kids). This 2-minute trailer will show you just what you can expect from the new adventures. If you love LEGO Star Wars and The Force Awakens, then you’re really going to appreciate this. We knew with the release of the new films and the renewed excitement of Star Wars in mainstream culture that we were going to see many things Star Wars themed. It’s true that unless you’ve been living under a rock on a deserted island, you’ve heard of Star Wars. For some longtime fans, the new popularity of the franchise is annoying. Some feel like every company is just pandering to the popularity that came from the new movie. While not everyone will agree, I am happy about the new popularity of the franchise. You can never…

I Played 13 Star Wars Mobile Games. Here are the Best.

Over the past couple years, we’ve seen a lot of new Star Wars games, just not where you might expect them: on your phone. There have been tons of new mobile games that have come out since Disney took over the franchise, from Rebels-themed kids’ games and puzzlers to tower defense and shooters. But are any of them any good? Do they stand up to the classics, like Rogue Squadron and Shadows of the Empire? I had to find out, so I sat down and played 13 of them. It took me a while, but here’s what I found out. The Best: Knights of the Old Republic It’s getting old now, but this game has translated remarkably well to mobile platforms. The controls are really easy to use, the gameplay is intuitive, and the story is a classic one that stands the test of time. The graphics are what you’d expect for a game that’s…
