Gotta make that gold, right? Well, it looks like some gold spammers are evolving to offer more than in-game currency. Check this screenshot from SWTOR:
We are NOT making fun of the pandemic, but we really had to take a moment to share this with you because it’s both hilarious and alarming, depressing and ingenious (okay, maybe not go that far).
If you’ve ever played SWTOR, or any MMORPG for that matter, you know that these guys have been around since the very beginning. And as someone who’s been playing MMORPGs since they came out, I have seen my fair share of hilarious gold spammer PMs. I’m sure most of you have as well.
Never before, however, have I seen one play on the current events quite this way.
With people around the globe in fear of the coronavirus pandemic, it makes sense that they might try to capitalize on the situation and reach out but I gotta say, just stay home and play your video games in the safety of your own space. And if you must go out, buy your masks from a more reputable source.
Still, A for effort there, gold spammer dude. You know how to shoot your shot.
