Another day, another Galaxy of Heroes patch… and this one comes with a little bit of everything.
EA just dropped Update 1-21, and the headline items are exactly the kind of chaos the community loves: Broken Vader, Batcher moved to Accelerated Characters, and Conquest compensation landing in inboxes.
Plus, a handful of fixes ranging from mod recommendation issues to summon bugs, environment loading problems, and one very specific correction:
Maul (Hate-Fueled) was apparently too optimistic about his size.
Yes, that’s in the official update notes.
Today’s News: The Big Stuff
Broken Vader?!
The update notes open with “Broken Vader!” — and honestly, that’s enough to make every SWGOH player stop what they’re doing.
If you’re mid-GAC, mid-raid, or mid-Conquest run, you’ll definitely want to keep an eye out for weird Vader behavior until the dust settles.
Batcher Added to Accelerated Characters ✅
Batcher is now Accelerated.
That’s a big deal if you’re building toward teams that depend on newer characters but don’t want to burn months of farming time just to get to usable relic levels.
Accelerated Characters generally means faster shard gain and a smoother farm — basically: less pain.
Conquest Compensation Is In Your Inbox 🎁
If you were impacted by recent Conquest issues, EA confirms that compensation is now live.
So yes: check your inbox, grab the rewards, and pretend the bugs never happened.
(You know… the traditional SWGOH healing ritual.)
Bugs and Adjustments (Fix List)
This update is also packed with quality-of-life fixes, display tweaks, and some genuinely important mechanical corrections.
Here’s the full breakdown in normal human language:
Marrok Mod Recommendations Fixed
Marrok now displays the proper mod recommendations.
Not the flashiest fix, but useful — especially for newer players who rely on suggested mod setups while building squads.
Summoned Yoda and Chewie Were Giving Foresight Incorrectly
Fixed an issue where summoned Yoda and Chewie were accidentally granting allies Foresight.
That kind of bug can absolutely swing a match — so good to see it addressed.
Jedi Master Mace Windu Bug Fix (Tier 07)
Fixed an issue where Jedi Master Mace Windu was missing a key part of his unique at tier 07 involving:
- buff immunity application
- triggered when an enemy dispels debuffs on themselves
This is one of those “tiny sentence, big impact” fixes.
If you’ve been using him in content where those tiers matter, he should behave correctly now.
Asajj Naming Consistency (Ventress vs Asajj Ventress)
This one is oddly specific but actually makes sense:
In Asajj’s Special 01 final tier, they changed the naming to match previous tiers.
Before:
- earlier tiers called her Ventress
- final tier called her Asajj Ventress
Now:
- final tier uses Ventress for consistency
Not gameplay-changing, but it cleans up confusion.
Conquest Environments Fixed (lol)
This patch note is peak SWGOH:
Starkiller Base was activated, destroying several planets, but thanks to the valiant efforts of the Resistance our environments are back online.
Translation:
Conquest environments weren’t loading properly, and that should now be fixed.
Maul (Hate-Fueled) Now Shows Missing “Large Character” Unique
This is officially the funniest line in the update:
Maul was “a little too optimistic about his size.”
They’ve added the missing Large Character unique — but important note:
✅ Display fix only
✅ No gameplay change
✅ Maul already functioned correctly as “Large”
Dark Disciple Asajj Tier 07 Fix
Asajj Ventress (Dark Disciple) should now inflict Retribution for 2 turns at tier 07.
This is one of those “if you know, you know” changes — and if you’re investing materials into her tiers, you want those tiers to actually match the text.
Quick Take: What This Update Means
This isn’t a “meta shift” patch.
This is more like:
- Conquest stability cleanup
- tier ability fixes
- and a few “thank you for suffering” rewards
But:
✅ Accelerated Batcher is genuinely meaningful
✅ Conquest comp is always welcome
✅ Summon bugs and tier issues needed to go
