Core Mechanic – Overcharge
Overcharge is the heart of KX’s kit.
• Gained mainly from his Basic and certain reactive effects
• Max 5 stacks
• Each stack increases his survivability
• At key Rank levels, Overcharge contributes to True Damage
• Hitting 5 stacks triggers bonus effects like Shock or Blind
Think of Overcharge as both fuel and payoff.
Basic – Baton Deployed
KX deals Physical damage and gains 1 stack of Overcharge.
He also recovers Health and Protection based on his Overcharge stacks, making this ability self-sustaining.
If he has 5 stacks during his turn:
• He Shocks the target (unresistable)
• All Overcharge stacks are consumed
This makes his Basic a cycle tool: build → sustain → detonate → repeat.
Important design note: Shock only triggers on his own turn so players control when Overcharge is spent.
Special – Please Do Not Resist (Cooldown 4)
This is KX’s aggro button.
• Gains Offense equal to 200% of his Defense for 1 turn
• Deals AoE Physical damage
• Gains Defense Up + Taunt for 2 turns
• If all allies are ISB → also gains Alert and Protection Up (100%)
Other ISB Droids (specifically Imperial Probe Droid) take Max Health damage to help trigger Self-Destruct faster.
Rank bonuses:
• Rank 2+: KX assists
• Rank 3: Inflicts Stagger
This ability:
• Pulls focus onto KX
• Scales damage from defensive stats
• Synergizes directly with IPD
Unique – Controlled Operation (Zeta + Omicron)
This is where KX becomes a monster.
Base Effects
• Gains Max Health at battle start for each ISB ally
• Gains more Max Health whenever reaching 5 Overcharge stacks
• Attacking Target Locked enemies Exposes them
• When critically hit → gains Overcharge + inflicts Defense Down
• When an ISB Droid dies → gains Frenzy + Endure
Undermine synergy:
• If an Undermined ally is damaged → KX Taunts
• If KX is Undermined → he stacks Protection Up permanently
This means enemy debuff pressure actually fuels KX.
Territory Wars Omicron
This is where KX jumps tiers.
If full ISB squad:
• Starts with Retribution + 3-turn Taunt
• Immune to Daze
• All allies gain +50% Max Health & Protection
• Rank 3 becomes permanent
• Out-of-turn attacks grant stacking Max Health and Turn Meter to allies
• Assists whenever ISB allies use Specials
Extra effects with Overcharge:
• 3+ stacks when using Special → gains Foresight
• 5 stacks → Blinds all enemies
If IPD Self-Destructs:
• All allies gain Endure
• Full Protection recovery
• Special cooldown resets
This creates a self-feeding engine between KX and Imperial Probe Droid.

Use Special to pull aggression and scale Offense from Defense.

High Health + Rank bonuses + True Damage = KX becomes a damage threat, not just a tank.
