In today’s TOR TV, we Bring you the brilliant idea of Jimmy Kimmel’s segment “Unnecessary censorship” to the world of video games. For people who don’t know what Unnecessary Censorship is, it refers to the practice of adding censor bleeps, mosaic blurs or black bars to source materials that were neither profane or explicit to begin with. The bleeps are typically dubbed over words to make it sound as if they were explicit. Mosaic blurs and black bars are placed over people, objects, or text to make it appear as if they are covering up pornographic or explicit material. Some times that makes not funny things hilarious. TOR TV: Sith Trifecta
Youtube user rovon2501 created a little tribute video to the leveling of three characters from 1-50 together. All 3 toons are all members of “Hate Machine” the Imperial side of Begeren. The video is incredibly smooth, well produced, and excellently narrated. I think the little in-jokes and carefully balanced approach is what makes the movie so effective. Interested in SWTOR Movies? SWTOR Mixtape “Cold Republic Episode I: The Empire Likes Rap” Released
Big SWTOR news out today- The world’s first SWTOR mixtape “Cold Republic Episode I: The Empire Likes Rap” has been released! Richie Branson proves to us all that rap music and Star Wars go together like no one ever could have imagined. He announced today the release of his mixtape, titled: ‘The Cold Republic: Episode 1 – The Empire Likes Rap‘ – the first ever SWTOR mixtape. You can download it for free here. On his website, he explains the origin of the album: Sometimes the business of music can be so stressful, so it’s good to be able to take breaks and have fun with my creativity. Since the release of Star Wars: The Old Republic, I’ve been glued to my computer levelling and kicking ass in huttball with my sith assassin “Branson” (check me out on the Ven Zallow RP-PVP server). When I heard the main theme music,…
TOR TV: Deflection like a boss
We know that Jedi can deflect blaster shots with their lightsabers, and have even seen Vader deflect Han’s shots with his hands. I think its obvious that using your hands would require greater command of the Force, but which method do you think is more effective? Han only shot at Vader twice, and then Vader used the Force to grab the blaster. If someone shot at a Jedi many times, do you think it would be harder to accurately block the shots with your hands? I was thinking that your hands don’t cover as much space as a lightsaber, so it may be harder to block many shots. Also, it could be more difficult to move your bare hands quickly enough to deflect shots than to simply move your lightsaber. Below video make lightsaber deflection look easy at least. TOR TV: Aric Jorgan is a !@#$%& CAT
ThisIsRefmo is back with a new video that hangs Aric Jorgan out to dry. Aparently this cat is a pervert! Did you hear that? A pervert! He is also a cat. Last time we heard from ThisIsRefmo they were arguing that paying customers should have an easy mode for getting datacrons. In this new video, I especially love the “nope nope nope nope nope” part while she’s running to the ship. Had me in hysterics. And I wish my ship droid would stop talking whenever I told him to shut up like hers does. Interested in SWTOR Movies? We have new movies most weekdays here on swtorstrategies! TOR TV: Prime Defense “Greeting”
Greeting is an act of communication in which human beings (as well as other members of the animal kingdom) intentionally make their presence known to each other, to show attention to, and to suggest a type of relationship or social status between individuals or groups of people coming in contact with each other. While greeting customs are highly culture- and situation-specific and may change within a culture depending on social status and relationship, they exist in all known human cultures. Greetings can be expressed both audibly and physically, and often involve a combination of the two. This topic excludes military and ceremonial salutes but includes rituals other than gestures. Greetings are often, but not always, used just prior to a conversation. Some epochs and cultures have had very elaborate greeting rituals, e.g., greeting of a king. Secret societies have clandestine greeting rituals that allow members to recognize common membership. Prime…
TOR TV: Tony Hawk’s Pro SWTOR
This litle gem of a SWTOR / Tony Hawk’s pro skating mashup was made by youtube user hardataq. The song alone brought back so much nostalgia, and I’m sure Tony Hawk would be proud, If he weren’t busy making bank off a career he had in the nineties. I pretend my speeder is like a skateboard too, ramping off stuff and grinding rails usually when I’m on the Republic Fleet waiting for my mates to get ready to head off (they’re so slow). There’s a cool little edge on the wall next to the GTN kiosks that I treat like a quarter pipe! Check it out below:

TOR TV: “Looking for Group” *Cold Repulbic Mixtape* by Richie Branson

TOR TV: What Do Smugglers Do?
Youtube user Zadenk made this little gem of machinima. Vidoes like this mame me realize that most Jedi dialog is pretty boring, compared with the stuff you get away with as a non-Force user. I also love the fact that people are being super creative on top of BioWare’s creativity. I mean it’s a win, win. Great game and cool videos from people. Interested in SWTOR Movies? Star Fleet Dental has uploaded a new movie. This time it’s all about killing, grieving and corpse camping. You might wan’t to check this forum thread before this video make any sense. Members of Starfleet Dental were given the extraordinary chance to test their skills against the self-declared top player of Veela and SWTOR forum loudmouth “Territo. A hard fought battle that ultimately ended in sadness as sweet, sweet Arus foolishly challenged Territo to a duel.
TOR TV: A New Meme (probably the greatest machinima to date)
This may be one of the the dumbest thing I’ve watched all week – and I have had a REALLY strange week so far — but it still made me laugh out loud. Kudos I’m not sure how to describe this video, I guess you just have to watch it your self. Please help us out though and write your own description in the comments 🙂 Interested in SWTOR Movies? TOR TV: REAL World PvP on Ilum Patch 1.1
Reading Reddit and the official forums yesterday I became a sad sad panda. For some reason people are more interested in broken stuff, then all the cool stuff that works really well. I don’t understand what is happening and why the community is developing in to such a unproductive sad place, becourse we all know that Star Wars: The old republic is an AWESOME game. If you don’t you won’t be reading this story in the first place. Below is a 2 hour video showing FUN openworld pvp. I don’t expect you to watch it all, but the next time you feel like exploiting or in any other way destroying open world PVP on Ilum, see a few minuts of the video, and understand that you are doing it wrong! TOR TV: 2V-R8 Infomercial
Imperial players have 2V-R8 and Republic players have C2-N2. Both of them are known to be most annoying thing in SWTOR. Some people find them so annoying that they are afraid to enter their ship. Wish they add the disable option for for this retarded robot. Pro tip, below this video is a elegant pathing to avoid conversation…

TOR TV: I Used to Be a Field Operative Just Like You…
The Skyrim “Arrow in the Knee” meme was all over the internet for the last few month of 2011. So much that gamers now grit their teeth every time someone beats this dead horse. Let’s give this old meme an official farewell and introduce a new one from Star Wars: The old republic. Its like the arrow to the knee reference but this guy got a lightsaber… to the lungs…
TOR TV: My Sith is a Jerk
Youtube user TheDrunkAndThePwned have uploaded two hilarious movies about the dark side to the Force. It’s funny how well crafted and deserving insults can be extremely funny, but please don’t direct this towards other players 😉

You discovered a bug in the game to interrupt casting I should tell BioWare and not make it public – 50 Lightside points I should tell everyone in the public forums – 50 Darkside points Keep it to myself and get world first on some boss who is a bitch because of casted abilities and not enough interrupts – 150 Darkside points, ladies Now ad this and your golden! No clue if this is bannable, but I’m sure that we got BioWares attention now, and they will hot fix it asap. What ever way you look a it, this is some serious funky tanking! TOR TV: A Wasted Year
The guild Starfleet Dental, used their new years eave creating this little jewel of a machinima. The video for A Wasted Year is pretty spot-on for the material and keeps pace with the music fairly well. I was not aware that someone made a polka version of ZZ Tops ” give me all your loving” and I’m not sure I aprove of it either though. My favorite part is at the end, when they all break out into fireworks and dancing. It’s rare that videos make me wish I could be included in that game play. But if I’d had an invite to that party, I definitely would have been there with bells on. Interested in SWTOR Movies? We have new movies most weekdays here on swtorstrategies! TOR TV: How to use the Galactic Trade Network to make butt loads of money
thenoobistcolony has uploaded one of the best free credits guide I have seen so far. In this guide he goes through how to make money on the galactic trade network by using alts. This guide covers all the basic stuff in Auction house domination as we know it from the early mmorpg’s This SWTOR Galactic Trade Network Guide should help you to be successful at the good ol’ auction house (GTN for now). The GTN can be fun and rewarding… but it can also be annoying at times. Using the auction house is pretty common sense, but a lot of people get into trouble by being impatient or by trying to make “quick” gold. In this guide I’ll give you information on making gold from selling:
TOR TV: Slicing Tutorial = Easy Credit’s
Here is a quick tutorial for you on Slicing. Slicing is one of the four Gathering Skills which involves accessing secured computer systems and lockboxes to acquire valuable data and rare schematics. aikiwoce from reddit did a pretty need guide on Maximizing Slicing Returns. You can read it below the video. Basically try to stick to these 4 rules while slicing: 1. Try not to queue anything less than a Bountiful Yield mission. Even Bountiful Yield missions 2 or more tiers below your current one have higher yields than moderate/abundant ones at your current slicing level. The mission Yields go Wealthy (discovery purple) > Prosperous (discovery blue) > Rich & Bountiful & Abundant & Moderate. Mission Discoveries for slicing don’t seem to pay off, so avoid unless you want augments. 2. If you don’t have a Bountiful or Rich Yield Mission available, queue a lower class mission. 3. Try to stagger…
