Grogu from Star Wars Kids leading a “Balanced Breathing” mindfulness activity for children.

Disney and Lucasfilm Bring Star Wars to Kids’ Mindfulness and Movement with GoNoodle

Disney, Lucasfilm, and GoNoodle are teaming up on a new initiative designed to introduce Star Wars characters and themes into everyday life through movement, mindfulness, and play for children.

The collaboration blends GoNoodle’s popular developmental content with beloved figures and storytelling elements from the Star Wars galaxy in a way that parents, educators, and young fans can use together — in classrooms, at home, or in learning spaces.

Mindfulness and movement with the Force

The first video in the series, titled “Balanced Breathing with Grogu,” is now available. It features Grogu, the fan-favorite character from The Mandalorian series, guiding kids through a playful breathing exercise rooted in Jedi-style training.

In the video, Grogu leads children through mindful breathing and simple motion, helping them slow down, focus, and build self-regulation skills — abilities that can support emotional control, attention, and healthy daily routines.

GoNoodle content has long been used in schools and homes to help kids stay active and reset their energy between activities. By integrating Star Wars characters into the programming, the partners hope to make the experience feel familiar and fun for young fans.

A partnership with purpose

Officials from both organizations spoke about what the collaboration aims to achieve.

At The Walt Disney Company, Jeff Benjenk, Vice President of Brand Marketing, said parents and educators now have another tool to make movement and mindfulness fun. He framed the project as sparking curiosity and creativity in kids by combining great storytelling with active content.

Meanwhile, KC Estenson, CEO of GoNoodle, noted that Grogu’s qualities — curiosity, balance, and kindness — make him an ideal guide for teaching young learners how to calm their minds and bodies. The activities are designed to be joyful and engaging while also supporting emotional regulation skills that children can carry forward throughout their lives.

Where to find the videos

The Star Wars mindfulness videos will be freely accessible on:

  • GoNoodle’s website, on a dedicated Star Wars channel
  • GoNoodle’s YouTube channel

This distribution approach ensures that both teachers and parents can incorporate the content seamlessly into daily routines without barriers.

More content throughout the year

The Grogu video is just the first installment. Disney, Lucasfilm, and GoNoodle plan to release additional Star Wars–themed movement and mindfulness content throughout the year, expanding options for activity, play, focus, and imagination.

For families and fans who have grown up with Star Wars stories across generations, this project represents another way the franchise can be part of everyday learning, not just high-stakes space adventures.

By using characters like Grogu to make wellness activities feel accessible and familiar, the partners are hoping to create a new bridge between storytelling and real-world skills — encouraging kids to move, breathe, and learn in ways that feel joyful and supportive.
