SWGOH Era of Andor Overhaul: Marquee Requirements Lowered, Coliseum Reworked, and Cassian Roadmap Revealed

The Era of Andor is almost here in Star Wars: Galaxy of Heroes, and Capital Games is clearly reacting to player feedback from the 10th Anniversary cycle.

This time, the focus is on less early pressure, smarter progression, and clearer goals — especially for free-to-play players.

Let’s break down the big changes.

Early Era Pressure Is Being Reduced

One of the biggest complaints last Era was the “Crystal Crunch” — players felt forced to overspend early.

So CG is adjusting:

Lower Requirements for Early Marquees

  • First 3 Andor Marquees
Final tier requirement reduced from EL 70 → EL 55
  • Last 3 Marquees
Stay at EL 70 (players should have more materials by then)

This slows the early rush and gives players breathing room.

Smart Store Management

Tier 8 Era Material bundles (EL 80–95) are being temporarily removed until they’re usable.

Goal:
➡️ Stop players from accidentally overspending
➡️ Prevent buying materials gated behind Zerek Ability Modules

That’s a rare “we’re protecting players from themselves” move.

Coliseum Is Getting a Major Rework

Coliseum is shifting from a static grind to a strategy-driven mode.

Power Scaling Fix

Summoned units now scale based on your highest EL unit, not the lowest.

No more roster “power dips” when you bring in a new low-level Marquee.

Leader-Based Summons (BIG Change)

Your leader now determines reinforcements:

Rebel Fighter Leader summons:

  • Pao (all tiers)
  • Saw (all tiers)
  • Cinta (tiers 1–2)
  • Vel (tier 1)

ISB Leader summons:

  • IPD (all tiers)
  • Krennic (all tiers)
  • KX Security Droid (tiers 1–5)
  • Major Partagaz (tiers 1–4)

This makes theory-crafting much deeper.

More Summoned Units

  • Tiers 5–8 now summon units (previously only 1–4 did)

Coliseum becomes more dynamic across the full difficulty curve.

Hero Abilities Incoming

New Hero Abilities are targeted for release mid-Era.

Details coming later, but this likely adds another layer to squad builds.

Era Challenges Get a Big Upgrade

Starting with the Second Era Challenge, we get:

New 4-Feat System

Each tier has four feats with increasing EL requirements.

Exception:

  • Kleya’s Challenge still has 1 Feat per tier

Goal:
✔ More reasons to replay
✔ More rewards
✔ Better for F2P progression

Era Battles Are Coming

  • 12 runs per Era
  • Alternating “on/off” weeks
  • Two different Era Battles with different requirements

Your Andor squads will be required next cycle.

Post-Era Support

After the Era:

  • Units move to Shipments ~1 week later
  • Then to nodes on bi-weekly cadence
  • Units receive Squad-based FDCs for Legacy modes (GAC & TW)

A More Player-Friendly Era

This Era is designed to:

✔ Reduce early pressure
✔ Encourage strategy over spending
✔ Give a clear roadmap
✔ Help F2P players stay competitive
✔ Make Coliseum feel alive

This is the most player-friendly Era design we’ve seen yet.
