SWGOH May the 4th Celebration Brings Free Gifts, Bonus Drops, and a Very Sithy May 5th

The Holotables are getting the full Star Wars Day treatment — and yes, Capital Games remembered the Sith too.

Capital Games has outlined the Star Wars: Galaxy of Heroes May the 4th celebration, with daily rewards, a free calendar, a massive inbox gift, Crystal deals, Trove Packs, Lightspeed Bundles, bonus drops, and a packed event schedule running through the middle of May. The official post also gives a polite nod to “May the 5th” for the Sith crowd, because even galactic villains deserve calendar representation.

Daily Rewards and a Huge Inbox Gift

The biggest immediate reason to log in is the free stuff. Starting May 4, players can visit the Web Store and PC Store every day to claim special Mystery Chests. While there, players can also grab the free May the 4th calendar from the Web Store.

Capital Games is also dropping a large inbox gift to kick off the celebration. That gift includes a new portrait and title, Clone Wars Chewbacca shards, 3 Omicrons, 5 Zetas, 10 million Credits, relic materials such as Signal Data, Droid Brains, Aeromagnifiers, Zinbiddle Cards, and additional character shards across multiple units.

That is not a bad little “please open the game today” package. In SWGOH terms, 10 million Credits and three Omicrons is the kind of gift that makes players briefly forget how expensive their next roster mistake is going to be.

Crystal Deals, Trove Packs, and Lightspeed Bundles

The celebration also brings back the usual danger zone: store offers.

Starting May 4, Crystal deals are available for players looking to stock up, while Trove Packs return with more resource-heavy bundles. On top of that, Capital Games says Lightspeed Bundles began dropping from April 30 and will continue across multiple days, with a mix of returning, refreshed, and brand-new bundles.

That makes this a useful window for players trying to catch up quickly — especially if they are behind on key factions, Journey Guide requirements, or newer roster-building priorities. It is also the kind of window where “I’ll just check the store” can become a full accounting incident.

Double Drops, Then Triple Drops

The bonus drop schedule is simple but important.

Double Drops begin on May 4 and run for 48 hours. After that, Triple Drops arrive on May 6 for 24 hours.

For players hoarding energy, this is the obvious moment to spend smartly. Shards, gear, signal data, and other farm targets all become more attractive during bonus drop windows, especially if you have been sitting on refreshes like a tiny resource goblin with a spreadsheet.

Event Lineup Runs Through May 18

The May celebration also includes a full event schedule. Era Assaults run from Light Liberation on May 4 through Knightfall on May 8, with Dark Decimation, Raiders of the Outer Rim, and Crimes Against the Republic filling the days in between.

After that, Assault Battles take over from Secrets and Shadows on May 9 through Peridea Patrol on May 18. The lineup includes familiar events like Rebel Roundup, Place of Power, Military Might, Ground War, Forest Moon, and Duel of the Fates.

There is one caveat: Capital Games notes a known issue with Light Liberation on May 4, where the wrong units were being used and the team was investigating.

A Big May the 4th for Galaxy of Heroes Players

Between the inbox gift, daily Mystery Chests, free calendar, bonus drops, store bundles, and event schedule, this is a pretty stacked May the 4th package for Star Wars: Galaxy of Heroes.

It also lands right alongside Capital Games’ wider community activity this month, including the ongoing Extra Life Charity Events 2026, which we covered in our SWGOH Extra Life breakdown.

The practical advice is simple: log in, claim the gift, grab the calendar, check the Web Store daily, and spend your bonus drop energy with at least some restraint.

Or, you know, Sith restraint. Which is mostly just bad decisions with dramatic lighting.
