Whether you’re pulling off a risky heist or just causing a little chaos in the Outer Rim, there’s a good chance you’ll attract some unwanted attention. Fortunately, there are several ways to clear your Wanted level and slip out of the Empire’s grasp. Let’s dive into the methods that can help you keep a low profile in the galaxy.

Run Fast, Run Far: Outrun the Empire

Sometimes, the best defense is a good pair of running boots. If your Wanted level is low, you can try the classic approach: get out of Dodge and stay out of sight. Simply exit the area and avoid any Imperial forces for a while. If you can effectively disappear, the Empire will eventually call off the search and move on to other troublemakers.

When to Use This Method:

  • Low Wanted Level: Ideal when your notoriety hasn’t escalated too much.
  • Easily Accessible Exits: Best used in open areas where you can make a quick getaway.

Slice an Imperial Terminal: Hack Your Troubles Away

If running isn’t your style, maybe slicing is. You can hack into an Imperial Terminal to reduce your Wanted level. These terminals are scattered throughout various locations, and once you’ve found one, it’ll be marked on your map permanently.

How to Do It:

  1. Locate an Imperial Terminal: Keep an eye out for these on your world map.
  2. Sneak or Fight: Either sneak past the nearby Stormtroopers or take them out quietly.
  3. Slice the Terminal: Once you’re clear, approach the terminal, solve the hacking puzzle, and watch your Wanted level drop.

Pro Tip:

  • Stealth First: If you’re caught while slicing, it could escalate your Wanted level further. Sneak carefully!

Bribe a Corrupt Imperial Officer: Credits Talk

Money talks, even in the galaxy far, far away. On many planets, you’ll find corrupt Imperial Officers who are more than willing to look the other way — for a price. For example, on Toshara, there’s an officer just southeast of Makal’s Gambling Parlor in Mirogana.

Steps to Bribing:

  1. Find the Officer: Look for their location marked on the map.
  2. Pay the Price: Agree to the bribe, and they’ll take care of your Wanted level from the inside.

When to Use This Method:

  • Credits on Hand: Make sure you have enough Credits, as these officers don’t come cheap.
  • Immediate Solution: This is a quick fix when you need to lower your Wanted level fast.

Hack an Imperial Satellite: Space Shenanigans

If your Wanted level spikes while you’re cruising through space, don’t worry — there’s a solution up there too. Just like on the planets, space is littered with Imperial Satellites that can be hacked to clear your Wanted level.

How to Hack a Satellite:

  1. Find a Satellite: Fly close to one until the ‘Hack’ prompt appears.
  2. Clear the Area: Ensure there are no enemies nearby before starting the hack.
  3. Complete the Hack: Use the indicated command and wait for the bar to fill. Once done, your Wanted level will decrease.

  • Stay Vigilant: Any interruption from enemies can halt the hack, so clear the area first.

How to Check Your Wanted Level

You’ll know the Empire is onto you when warning signs appear on your screen, accompanied by alarms. The word ‘WANTED’ will flash across your screen once you’ve attracted enough attention. To keep tabs on your status, simply check the icon in the top left corner of your screen — this shows your current Wanted level. And remember, the more you annoy the Empire, the higher that level will climb!
