SWG:Legends Announces the 2025 Galactic City Home Show Winner — Discotheque Takes the Crown on Talus!

The votes are in, the decorations have settled, and the undead (mostly) returned to their graves. Star Wars Galaxies fans, we have a champion.
For the first time in SWG:Legends history, the community held a full City Home Show, and the results are nothing short of spectacular.

After weeks of player tours, spooky shenanigans, clever city planning, and more Kashyyykian streetlamps than a Wookiee electrician could handle, one city stood above the rest:

🏆 Congratulations to Discotheque, Talus — and Mayor Wendie Flamingo!

Discotheque didn’t just win.
They performed.
They created a living, breathing festival space that blended pristine urban planning with Harvest Festival chaos, theatrical flair, and theme-park-level creativity.

A Tour Through Discotheque’s Winning City

A Perfectly Planned Plaza to Welcome Visitors

Your journey starts at the steps of the City Hall. Wide plazas, careful landscaping, GMF decorations, and rows of neatly arranged homes radiate “this mayor has spreadsheets.” Talus’s beautiful skyline, framed by towering skyscrapers, sets the mood from the start.

Add in a shuttleport tucked behind the cantina and you’ve got yourself a city that thinks about both style and convenience.

A Marketplace Full of Life (and Jawas)

The enclosed marketplace feels like a true hub—bright tents, traders everywhere, and the occasional Jawa trying very hard to sell you something you don’t need. Across the way, you spot treehouses peeking from the Wookiee residential quarter.

Honestly? It already felt like a winning city at this point.

But Discotheque was only getting started.

Where the Galactic Moon Festival Magic Begins

The deeper you explore, the more the festival atmosphere creeps in. Kashyyykian streetlamps glow along the roads, and floating sith-o-lanterns drift eerily overhead like they’re judging your life choices.

The city transforms from “nicely zoned Talus suburb” to “Halloween night meets Star Wars meets brilliant player creativity.”

A Theater Experience Unlike Anything in SWG:Legends

Discotheque hosted a full-stage production of “It Came From Mustafar!”

Not once.
Not twice.
But every 30 minutes—for weeks.

Using props, ventriloquism, macros, and a wild amount of coordination, residents pulled off the kind of production that makes you wonder if they secretly hired Broadway actors.

Patrons gathered, actors performed, and the theater buzzed with life.
This wasn’t a city.
It was an MMO cultural event.

A Haunted Hayride Worthy of the GMF Spirit

If you stayed in town after the show (and survived the jump-scares), you’d find yourself facing a choice:

  • Take a skiff
  • Ride your own speeder
  • Or brave the sith-o-lantern-lit road on foot

Either way, the haunted ride took you through terrifying scenes filled with undead, creatures, and Wookiee-area monsters who clearly missed their calling as horror actors.

Discotheque leaned fully into the Harvest Festival vibes—and it paid off.

Fairgrounds, Music, Vendors, and Community

At the top of the stairs: the Discotheque Harvest Festival Fairgrounds.

A massive circular stage.
Entertainment acts.
Community events.
Food stalls tucked between nature-themed vendor booths.
This wasn’t just decorated—it was alive.

During the month, players gathered for shows, social events, music, and roleplay. Discotheque became a true community hub.

A Maze to Finish the Tour (if You Survive)

Finally, the pièce de résistance:
An outdoor-to-indoor maze inspired by Dathomirian gardens and stone-walled labyrinths.

It’s charming at first—until the “residents pretending to be zombies” start making noises. Echoing. Everywhere.

If you made it through, you earned your bragging rights.

A City Worthy of the Title

Discotheque’s win wasn’t just about decorations. It was about:

  • City planning
  • Festive GMF atmosphere
  • Player creativity
  • Community involvement
  • Technical brilliance
  • And honestly… endurance. That show ran every 30 minutes!

Discotheque turned an entire Talus city into a living theme park of Harvest Festival celebration. It balanced beauty with chaos, order with spookiness, and roleplay with practical city design.

Congratulations Again!

👏 Discotheque, Talus — and Mayor Wendie Flamingo
And a special shout-out to Nishmo, who helped bring the city to life with Wendie’s blessing.

This first-ever Galactic City Home Show set the bar sky-high. If next year tries to top this?
We’re going to need a bigger moon.
