Star Wars: The Old Republic players have fresh activities to dive into this February, as the official SWTOR website has just announced two major in-game event campaigns rolling out throughout the month.
Whether you’re looking to fight off biological threats or explore ancient alien mysteries, February promises variety and rewards for all types of players.
Rakghoul Resurgence Returns to Tatooine (Feb 3–10)
The month kicks off with the Rakghoul Resurgence outbreak on Tatooine, starting February 3 and running through February 10.
This event brings back one of SWTOR’s most chaotic and rewarding seasonal experiences: a wave of Rakghoul plague activity threatening settlements across the desert world. The Hyland Organization for Rakghoul Neutralization (T.H.O.R.N.) has issued an emergency alert and is calling for volunteers to help combat the outbreak.
Key features of the event include:
- Plague encounters and quests on Tatooine
- Exclusive event loot like the Merciless Seeker’s Armor Set
- New weapons and response gear
- Reputation rewards with T.H.O.R.N.
- Unique mounts including Infected Varactyl and Infected Dewback
- Ferocious Rakghoul mini-pets and more
Players will want to prepare their squads and coordinate with friends — Rakghoul outbreaks can get hectic!
Relics of the Gree Event (Feb 17–24)
Following the plague, SWTOR will launch the Relics of the Gree event from February 17 through February 24.
This campaign tasks players with exploring the icy reaches of Ilum’s Western Ice Shelf, where the massive starship corpse of the ancient Gree civilization — known as the Gray Secant — lies buried beneath the snow.
Adventurers brave enough to investigate face tough foes and uncover relics from a long-lost era of galactic history.
Featured rewards include:
- Reputation with the Gree Enclave
- The Gree Digitization Cube
- Multiple Scalene armor sets
- Gray Helix weapons
- Exclusive Gree vehicles and mini-pets
This is a great chance for high-level players to tackle a thematic and lore-rich event while earning powerful gear and collectibles.
What These Events Mean for Players
These February events offer a mix of nostalgia and fresh adventure:
- The Rakghoul Resurgence event lets players revisit one of SWTOR’s most iconic seasonal crises with a new lineup of rewards and challenges.
- Relics of the Gree taps into deep galactic lore, giving players a reason to revisit Ilum and uncover relics of an ancient civilization.
Both events are free for all players with the required level — so whether you’re an Imperial veteran or Republic stalwart, there’s something to enjoy this month.
