SWTOR players have been asking for old Galactic Seasons rewards to come back for a while now, and with Galactic Season 10: Secrets of the Syndicate, Broadsword finally stopped pretending not to hear them. The new season launched with Game Update 7.8.1 on March 10, and the big hook is simple: all rewards from Seasons 1 and 3 are back, including the fan-favorite companions Altuur zok Adon and PH4-LNX. For anyone who missed those earlier seasons, this is less of a second chance and more of a giant neon sign telling you to log back in already.
The Big Selling Point Is the Return of Seasons 1 and 3
Broadsword confirmed that rewards from The Stranger from Kubindi and Luck of the Draw are being re-released during GS10, and that includes the two rewards a lot of players cared about most: Altuur zok Adon and PH4-LNX. That alone gives this season more pull than the average reward-track refresh, because this is not just about a few cosmetics coming back. It is SWTOR reopening the vault on two of the game’s most requested seasonal companions.
This Season Is Also Trying Very Hard to Fix Your Companion Problem
Broadsword is not just bringing the companions back and calling it a day. The studio also says Companion Gifts on the Seasonal vendor have been discounted, and that Altuur and PH4-LNX gifts get an even bigger price reduction during GS10. In other words, the game is not only handing people the companions they missed, it is also making it easier to level them without turning the whole process into a small economic crisis.
Old Rewards Are Back, but There Is Still New Stuff to Chase
One of the smarter things about GS10 is that it is not being pitched as a straight rerun. Broadsword says players who already completed Seasons 1 and 3 will still have new rewards to earn, while the season also adds fresh items across the track and vendors. It is a pretty obvious balancing act: bring back the old rewards players have been asking for, but still give longtime collectors a reason not to roll their eyes and log out.
Free and Preferred Players Actually Get a Nice Slice of This One
The Free/Preferred reward track includes some genuinely notable unlocks, including the Ornate Kubazian Box for Altuur, the PH4-LNX Protocol Lockbox, Galactic Season Tokens, Tech Fragments, Medal of Commendation stacks, multiple Cartel crates, several new Stronghold labels, and the Legacy titles The Returned and Shadow of the Syndicate. That is a pretty decent spread for players who are not subscribing, especially when the season’s entire identity is built around returning rewards people actually wanted.
Subscribers Get the Full “Yes, We Know You Like Loot” Version
Subscribers, of course, get the bigger pile. Broadsword says subscribers automatically unlock rewards from the Free/Preferred track as they progress, and GS10’s subscriber side includes 2,000 Cartel Coins total, more Galactic Season Tokens, armor sets like Mythran, Mythran Hunter, G.A.M.E Security, and G.A.M.E. Pit Boss, plus a long list of themed weapons, mounts, titles, and PH4-LNX and Altuur extras. Some of the more eye-catching rewards include the Blue Shift and Event Horizon mounts, which Broadsword notes are also companion compatible. Because apparently even your rewards now come with a plus-one option.
Vendors and Cartel Packs Are Changing Too
GS10 also goes beyond the reward tracks. Broadsword says both Seasonal Vendors are being updated with previously retired rewards, while Classic Cartel Packs are also getting older retired rewards folded back in. That includes a new Gold Weapon Pack and additions to Silver Mounts, Armor, and Weapons Packs. So even outside the core seasonal grind, this update is quietly trying to make old desirable items easier to chase down again.
Achievements Are Carrying More Weight This Time
The season’s achievement layer is also doing more than usual. GS10 includes progression achievements like The Kubindi Gambit I–V, along with broader objectives such as Syndicated, Season 10 Objective Master, and Powerful Forces. There are also companion-specific achievements tied to defeating 1,000 enemies with Altuur and PH4-LNX, which unlock new customizations for each of them. Completing the Weekly Season Objective achievement grants the Legacy title Target Acquired, while the season’s meta-achievement rewards a collection of additional Altuur and PH4-LNX customizations. So yes, GS10 is also feeding the part of the playerbase that sees a checklist and immediately loses all sense of moderation.
The First Four Weeks of Objectives Are Already Posted
Broadsword has already published the first four weeks of GS10 objectives, and Week 1 gives a pretty solid idea of the usual season rhythm. Early objectives include things like earning Conquest points across your Legacy, completing Space Missions, hunting targets on Quesh, running missions on Belsavis, Hoth, Rishi, or Tatooine, doing Dynamic Encounters on Dantooine, replaying Knights of the Fallen Empire Chapter I on Veteran or harder, and completing selected Veteran or Master Uprisings. That should make one thing very clear right away: GS10 is not asking players to live in one corner of the game. It wants you bouncing all over the galaxy like your backlog offended somebody personally.
Secrets of the Syndicate Looks Like One of the Better “Come Back Now” Seasons
What makes Galactic Season 10 stand out is not just that it has rewards. Every season has rewards. This one has the right rewards. Bringing back Seasons 1 and 3, reopening access to Altuur zok Adon and PH4-LNX, discounting companion gifts, updating the vendors, and layering in new cosmetics and achievements makes GS10 feel like a much smarter retention play than a simple seasonal reset. For returning players, it is a strong excuse to reinstall. For active players, it is another well-stocked progression treadmill. For everyone else, it is SWTOR once again proving that nothing gets people moving quite like the promise of old loot in new packaging.
