If your Star Wars: Legion armies needed more jetpacks, more clan politics, and more heavily armored Mandalorians making big battlefield decisions, Atomic Mass Games has you covered.
The new Mandalorian Leaders expansion is now up for pre-order, bringing Bo-Katan Kryze, The Armorer, Paz Vizsla, and Axe Woves into Star Wars: Legion as a new command-focused pack. The official Asmodee store listing says the box includes four miniatures that can be deployed as two Commanders and two Operatives, along with new cards to expand Mandalorian strategy options.
That already makes this one more interesting than a generic unit drop.
Four Mandalorians, four very different vibes
The obvious hook here is the lineup. This is not just “more Mandos.” It is a very specific slice of Mandalorian leadership styles from The Mandalorian era.
Bo-Katan brings the legacy claimant energy.
The Armorer brings the myth-and-tradition angle.
Paz Vizsla brings the “solve it with a lot of armor and even more aggression” approach.
Axe Woves brings the harder mercenary edge.
The Asmodee listing does not spell out each character’s exact tabletop role yet, but it does make clear that the whole point of the expansion is leadership choice: different Mandalorian figures, different command paths, and more tactical flexibility for Mandalorian forces.
What is in the box
According to the official store page, the expansion includes:
- 4 miniatures
- 4 bases
- 4 unit cards
- 4 upgrade cards
- 5 command cards
- 1 rules insert
That is a pretty solid package for players who want to build out Mandalorian-themed lists with more personality at the top.
The product page also says the miniatures come unassembled and unpainted, which is exactly what hobby-minded Legion players expect, but still worth mentioning before somebody opens the box hoping for pre-painted helmet perfection.
Release date and price
Asmodee lists the Mandalorian Leaders expansion at $52.99, with a stated release date of June 19, 2026. At the time of writing, the product is available for pre-order through the official store.
That puts it firmly in the lane of “premium character expansion,” but the character mix alone will probably make this one pretty tempting for Mandalorian fans.
Why this one stands out
The best thing about this expansion is that it leans into something The Mandalorian era did well: showing that Mandalorians are never just one thing.
They are warriors, zealots, pragmatists, rivals, survivors, and sometimes all of those before lunch.
A Legion expansion built around leaders instead of just another faceless squad feels like the right call. It gives players a chance to build Mandalorian forces with a bit more identity, and honestly, that matters almost as much as raw tabletop value.
Because when the box says unite the clans or carve your own legacy, that is exactly the kind of dramatic Mando nonsense this game should be embracing.
