At this point, Starfield modders are not just adding Star Wars flavor.
They are quietly building the galaxy Bethesda never officially gave us.
The latest example is The Mandalorian and Grogu, a new Starfield mod by TheSniper9 that turns Bethesda’s space RPG into a much more familiar kind of sci-fi playground. The pack is built as a tie-in to The Mandalorian and Grogu, but it is not just a quick armor drop or a single cosmetic swap.
This thing brings Din Djarin gear, Grogu as a follower, a questline, weapons, and even a new vehicle into Starfield.
So yes, the modding community has once again looked at a game and said: “Nice universe. We’ll take it from here.”

This Is More Than a Beskar Outfit
The mod includes a Din Djarin Beskar Armor set, complete with Grogu hanging onto the left shoulder, plus Din’s Pre-Beskar Armor from the first episode of The Mandalorian. That alone would probably be enough to get Star Wars fans clicking.
But the pack goes further.
According to the mod page, it also adds Din Djarin’s Carbine blaster rifle, a Vibro-Knife, Grav Charges, and the Hutt Gladiator Sword seen in the movie. There is even an Imperial INT-4 Interceptor vehicle, because apparently walking around space was no longer dramatic enough.
The best part, though, may be Grogu.

Grogu Becomes a Starfield Crew Member
The mod adds Grogu as a follower in his floating pram. He can follow the player, force push enemies, and even be recruited as a normal crew member.
That means players can assign Grogu to a ship or outpost, which is such an absurdly specific Starfield sentence that it almost feels official by accident.
The mod page says Grogu has ship-related bonuses designed to mirror his abilities from the show and movie, including helping with the Razor Crest. It is a smart way to make him more than just a cute accessory bobbing along behind the player.
He becomes part of the crew.
Which, frankly, is exactly where Grogu belongs. Preferably near snacks and far away from buttons he should not press.

A Small Questline With a Big Star Wars Hook
The pack also includes a questline titled “The Child,” which automatically starts when players load into the game. It also places Pre-Beskar Armor, a Beskar Helmet, and a Vibro Knife into the player’s inventory.
Even better, the mod is described as completely standalone, with no dependencies required. It can be placed anywhere in the load order, though the creator recommends activating it after the intro tutorial so the game does not remove the gear at the start.
That makes it a fairly accessible Star Wars injection for Starfield players who want Mando energy without rebuilding their entire mod setup like a malfunctioning hyperdrive.

Star Wars Modding Keeps Filling the Gap
This is why Starfield remains such an interesting playground for Star Wars fans.
The base game is not Star Wars, obviously. But its ships, outposts, planets, space combat, weapons, and open-ended structure make it an obvious host for Star Wars modding. Give players enough systems, and eventually someone will add Beskar.
Or Grogu.
Or both.

The official Star Wars gaming calendar may still be waiting on the next big release.
But modders are not waiting politely.
They are already building the crossover.
