Not everything in Star Wars: The Old Republic needs to be about ancient Sith threats, galactic war, emotional betrayal, or Darth Malgus standing around like the galaxy’s angriest motivational poster.
Sometimes, the game just needs speed, explosions, and people making terrible transportation choices for entertainment.
Good news: The All Worlds Ultimate Swoop Rally is back.
According to the official SWTOR June 2026 in-game events schedule, the Swoop Rally runs from June 9 to June 16, beginning and ending at 12:00 PM GMT. The event is available for players level 20 and above, and sends swoop fans to Dantooine, Tatooine, and Onderon for one of the galaxy’s loudest excuses to ignore its many problems.
What Is the All Worlds Ultimate Swoop Rally?
The All Worlds Ultimate Swoop Rally is SWTOR’s big racing event, built around three swoop gangs: Horizon’s Razor, the Pit Screamers, and the Blatant Beks.
Each gang brings its own style, flavor, and general disregard for public safety. Players take on challenge courses, show off piloting skills, and do the kind of high-speed nonsense that would make any sensible insurance droid immediately resign.
It is silly.
It is loud.
It is absolutely Star Wars.
And that is the point.
SWTOR Needs Events Like This
SWTOR has plenty of serious story content. The game has spent years giving players Sith politics, Jedi drama, hidden threats, warzones, ancient technology, and enough galactic trauma to keep a therapist busy until the heat death of the universe.
That stuff matters.
But events like the Swoop Rally matter too, because they let the game breathe.
The Old Republic era works best when it feels like a full galaxy, not just a corridor full of extremely dramatic people with lightsabers. Racing events, weird gangs, festival energy, stronghold decorations, pets, mounts, and ridiculous side activities help make the MMO feel alive between the bigger story beats.
It is the same reason Star Wars gaming has always been stronger when it lets players do more than chase the main plot. The wider history of playable Star Wars, which we track in our Complete List of All Star Wars Games Ever Made, is full of strange little detours that became memorable precisely because they were not trying to be the most important thing in the galaxy.
Rewards Worth Chasing
This year’s Swoop Rally rewards include Swoop Rally mounts, regular and gold versions, swoop gang outfits, Promotion Droid mini-pets, stronghold decorations, and more.
That is the other smart part of the event. It gives players a reason to jump in even if they are not currently deep in story content or endgame grinding. Maybe you want a mount. Maybe you want decorations. Maybe you just want to dress like someone who thinks “safety regulations” are Imperial propaganda.
All valid.
Sometimes Star Wars Should Just Be Fun
The Swoop Rally is not the most important thing happening in SWTOR this month.
That is exactly why it works.
It gives players a lower-stakes reason to log in, race badly, chase rewards, and enjoy the galaxy without needing every moment to carry lore weight. Not every event needs to reveal a secret Sith conspiracy. Sometimes the correct answer is simply: go fast, hit ramps, collect stuff, try not to explode.
The galaxy has enough darkness.
Let the swoop gangs have their nonsense.
