Eman Esfandi is ready to keep playing Ezra Bridger for as long as Dave Filoni keeps asking.
Speaking about the possibility of a live-action Ezra series, the Ahsoka actor said he would be “150% down” for anything involving the character, whether that means a dedicated spinoff or simply continuing Ezra’s story elsewhere.
That is enthusiasm, not an announcement.
Lucasfilm has not confirmed an Ezra Bridger solo series, and Esfandi carefully framed his answer around whatever Filoni may choose to do next. Still, the fact that the question feels plausible says a great deal about how successfully Ezra made the jump from animation to live action.
Ezra’s Story Is Far From Finished
Ezra first appeared in Star Wars Rebels as an orphan surviving on Lothal before joining the Ghost crew and becoming Kanan Jarrus’ Jedi apprentice.
His animated story ended with Ezra sacrificing his place in the known galaxy to remove Grand Admiral Thrawn from the conflict. Ahsoka finally found him in another galaxy, where Esfandi took over the role in live action.
By the end of the first season, Ezra had returned home aboard Thrawn’s ship, while Ahsoka and Sabine remained stranded elsewhere.
That puts Ezra in a particularly useful storytelling position. He is back in the main galaxy, Thrawn has returned, and the New Republic still does not entirely understand the size of the problem arriving on its doorstep.
A solo series would not need to invent a reason for Ezra to become involved.
The reason has already parked itself in the galaxy.
A Spinoff Is Only One Possibility
Esfandi’s comments leave several routes open.
Ezra could remain a major part of Ahsoka, appear in Dave Filoni’s wider connected story, or eventually lead a separate project. The second season of Ahsoka is already expected to continue the conflict involving Ezra, Thrawn, Ahsoka, and Sabine, with Esfandi returning in the role.
A dedicated Ezra series would nevertheless make sense.
Unlike some supporting characters, Ezra arrives with years of established history, meaningful relationships, unresolved responsibilities, and a personality capable of carrying lighter adventure alongside larger Jedi mythology.
He is also one of the few surviving Jedi of his generation who does not need another story about discovering that the Force exists.
He has already completed that tutorial.
Ezra Has Already Become a Gaming Regular
Ezra’s reach also extends beyond television.
His animated version has appeared in Star Wars: Galaxy of Heroes, while the older Ezra Bridger (Exile) became a separate Conquest character based on his return in Ahsoka.
That gives Ezra something increasingly valuable in modern Star Wars: recognition across multiple audiences.
Some know him from Rebels. Others met him through Ahsoka. Mobile players may know him as part of a Phoenix squad or as the far more experienced Exile version.
A live-action spinoff could pull those audiences together while giving Ezra room to exist outside the search for Thrawn.
The Actor Is Ready, but Lucasfilm Has Not Called It Yet
Esfandi has made his position clear.
He considers playing Ezra an honour and appears willing to return regardless of the format. What he has not done is reveal a secret project or confirm that Lucasfilm is developing one.
For now, an Ezra Bridger series remains a possibility rather than a production.
But it no longer feels like an absurd one.
Ezra spent years missing from the galaxy while his friends searched for him.
Now that he is finally back, giving him nothing further to do would be the stranger decision.
