Disney+ has released a new trailer for the upcoming season of “The Mandalorian,” which premiered during the NFL Wild Card Game on ESPN and ABC Network. The trailer shows Pedro Pascal’s character Din Djarin reuniting with Grogu and embarking on a new adventure. Din also reveals in the trailer that he will be returning to the planet Mandalore in an effort to redeem himself after removing his helmet and showing his face to other people at the end of season 2. This act is considered a serious transgression by Din’s religious sect, the Children of the Watch.
As the trailer progresses, viewers learn that the New Republic is facing dangerous new challenges and that Din and Grogu will be caught up in these events. “There’s something dangerous happening out there,” Captain Carson Teva warns. “And by the time it becomes big enough for you to act, it’ll be too late.” The trailer also shows Grogu exhibiting better control of the Force after leaving with Luke Skywalker in the previous season to train at his Jedi Temple.
Disney+ fans will not have to wait long for the next season of “The Mandalorian” to be released. Season 3 will be available for streaming on Disney+ starting March 1st.
