European Communities

Star Wars fandom has never been an English-only galaxy, and some of the best long-running fan communities in Europe have built their own corners of the saga over decades. From news and reviews to books, collecting, events, and fan culture, these sites help keep Star Wars alive in their own languages and local communities. We wanted this section to spotlight some of those projects and make the hub a little more international over time.

Germany

Star Wars Union
One of the biggest German-language Star Wars sites around, covering films, series, games, books, and wider franchise news. It feels like a full-spectrum fandom hub and is an easy fit for any European Star Wars community list.

Belgium

TeeKay-421

Italy

StarWars.it
A long-running Italian fan tribute site covering Star Wars news, fandom, collecting, publishing, and games. It has the feel of a broad national fandom hub rather than just a niche blog.

Poland

Bastion Polskich Fanów Star Wars
A major Polish Star Wars portal with news, articles, reviews, galleries, and strong community roots. It is one of the most established Star Wars fandom destinations in Poland and has been active since 2002.

S.W.A.T. – Star Wars Artistic Team
A long-running Polish fan initiative built around creative work, fan culture, and community activity. It is a more niche project than a traditional news site, but exactly the kind of local fandom effort that deserves visibility.

Netherlands

Star Wars Awakens
A Dutch Star Wars fan site covering reviews, books, games, films, and comics. A good example of the kind of broad, fan-first European project we want this hub to highlight.

Spain

HoloRed Estelar
A Spanish Star Wars fan community with a long-running club identity and a strong cultural and events side. A good fit for the wider European fandom picture.

Hungary

Magyar Star Wars Klub
A long-running Hungarian Star Wars fan community founded in Budapest in 1996. The site covers far more than club news, with sections on toys, comics, books, magazines, timelines, and Hungarian Star Wars history, giving it the feel of a genuine local fandom archive as much as a fan hub.

Czech Republic

Czech Star Wars Wiki
Less of a news site and more of a structured fan resource, this Czech-language Star Wars wiki presents itself as one of the largest Czech internet encyclopedias for Star Wars characters, technology, films, and related topics.

Nordic Star Wars Websites

Sweden

StarWars.se
One of the strongest Star Wars fan websites in the Nordic region, StarWars.se is a long-running Swedish fan site run entirely by volunteers. Founded in 2003, it was built to gather Swedish Star Wars fans in one place and offers a mix of news, features, community activity, and broader franchise coverage. It stands out as a genuine fan-driven hub with real longevity, making it one of the clearest Scandinavian sites to include in any serious Star Wars community directory.

Swedish Garrison
A Swedish Star Wars costuming website and the local 501st Legion presence in Sweden. While it is more organisation-focused than a traditional editorial fansite, it is still a legitimate and active Star Wars community website with clear structure, events, members, and public-facing fandom activity. It adds a strong Swedish community angle to the hub and is a more credible inclusion than a random fan blog or abandoned domain.

Denmark

Danish Garrison
A Danish Star Wars costuming and community website representing the local 501st Legion presence in Denmark. It focuses on fan-built costumes, appearances, and organised community work, and stands out as one of the clearest active Star Wars websites in Denmark with real structure behind it. It is more club-oriented than editorial, but still a solid Nordic Star Wars site with realistic outreach and backlink potential.

Norway

Norwegian Garrison
A Norwegian Star Wars community website and the local 501st Legion presence in Norway. The site presents a clear public identity built around charity work, events, hospital visits, and fan costuming, giving it more real-world community substance than a simple hobby page. For Norway, this is one of the most credible Star Wars websites currently visible and worth keeping on the radar for later outreach.

Planet Hoth
A niche Norwegian Star Wars project focused on the Empire Strikes Back filming legacy at Finse, the real-world location behind Hoth. The site covers Visit Hoth, production history, event material, and related archival content, which gives it a distinct identity compared with more general fan communities. It is not a broad all-purpose fansite, but it is absolutely the kind of unique Star Wars website that makes a community hub feel more curated and interesting.

Finland

Finnish Garrison
A Finnish Star Wars costuming and community website representing the Finnish branch of the 501st Legion. Like the other garrison sites, it is fan-run and organised around costumes, appearances, and community participation rather than editorial content, but it is still one of the clearest real Star Wars websites in Finland. It is a credible inclusion if the goal is to map active Nordic Star Wars communities with real websites behind them.

Nordic / Cross-Border

Nordic Garrison
A regional 501st Legion website covering Finland, Norway, and Sweden together. It gives the hub a broader Nordic layer and helps show that some of the strongest Star Wars community infrastructure in the region operates across borders rather than only at country level. It is more organisational than editorial, but still a legitimate and active Star Wars website with clear community relevance.

Nordic Base
The Nordic branch of the Rebel Legion, covering Denmark, Finland, Iceland, Norway, and Sweden. This is another structured regional Star Wars community site rather than a news or article-based fansite, but it broadens the Nordic section beyond just 501st links and shows another layer of organised fandom in the region. It is especially useful because it includes Iceland in a real Star Wars community structure, even though I did not find a separate strong Icelandic standalone fansite in this round.

Why This Page Exists

Star Wars fandom has always been bigger than any one website. Part of the fun is discovering the sites, podcasts, archives, collector databases, and communities that other fans have spent years building.

This page is our way of highlighting some of those established destinations while making it easier for fans to explore the wider Star Wars internet.

We will keep expanding this page over time as we build more connections across the community.

If you run an established Star Wars site and think you would be a good fit for this page, feel free to reach out.
