Star Wars: Galaxy of Heroes is making a direct change to Satele Shan after investigating her interaction with Galactic Legend Rey.
In a new official update, the Galaxy of Heroes team says it reviewed how Satele was performing with GL Rey and decided it needed to step in. With tomorrow’s patch, players will have their Satele Shan reset to a level that allows reinvestment, giving them the chance to rebuild her after the changes.
That is the real headline here.
This is not just a tiny balance tweak buried in patch notes. It is a full intervention tied to a specific high-profile interaction, and it comes with meaningful updates to Special 02 and Legendary Defiance, two parts of Satele’s kit that now push her more clearly toward Old Republic teams.
What changed
The revised Special 02 now dispels all buffs on all enemies, deals Physical damage to the target, applies Daze to all enemies for 2 turns, and reduces their Tenacity by 10% stacking until the end of battle. If all allies are Old Republic, it also deals True damage based on Satele’s Max Protection, restores Protection to Jedi allies, grants Jedi’s Will to Attacker allies, and gives Satele defensive buffs. In Grand Arenas, enemies who are not Dazed at the end of the turn lose Max Health, while Satele gains that amount as Max Protection if the team is all Old Republic.
Her Legendary Defiance unique also got major survival and control text. Satele now Taunts when a Marked enemy starts their turn or when an ally reaches 75% Health. In full Old Republic squads, she gains stacking Protection Up while Taunting, blocks enemy bonus Turn Meter gain, prevents certain assists, cannot be instantly defeated, and can fully recover once when dropped to low Health. If Jedi Knight Revan is an ally, he gets that recovery benefit too. Grand Arenas also adds Health equalization for low-health Old Republic allies and unpreventable revives for all-Old Republic teams.
Why it matters
The big takeaway is simple: Satele is being pushed back into a more defined Old Republic role.
That likely means players who were using her for the GL Rey interaction will need to rethink their plans fast. The reset helps with that, but it is also a clear sign that CG saw this one as serious enough to act on immediately.
