Star Wars heroes and villains lightsaber duel

Monopoly: Star Wars Heroes vs. Villains Delayed to June 30

The galaxy’s most dangerous property dispute has been pushed back a little.

Monopoly: Star Wars Heroes vs. Villains will now release on June 30, 2026, moving from its previously planned June 11 date. Ubisoft’s official Monopoly: Star Wars Heroes vs. Villains page now lists the new release date, while Gematsu has also reported the delay from June 11 to June 30.

So no, this is not Battlefront 3. It is not Star Wars Jedi 3. It is not Eclipse finally crawling out of the unknown regions.

It is Monopoly with lightsabers, team powers, and galactic real estate violence.

And honestly, that is still news.

Heroes, Villains, and Board Game Betrayal

Monopoly: Star Wars Heroes vs. Villains is Ubisoft and Behaviour Interactive’s digital Star Wars twist on the classic board game. Instead of simply moving a tiny metal shoe around a board and slowly destroying family relationships, players choose heroes or villains, use unique powers, and battle for control of the galaxy.

The game is set to launch on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch, Switch 2, and PC.

The hook is the team-based format. Players can build squads of iconic Star Wars characters, use abilities, and turn Monopoly into something more chaotic than just “who owns the blue spaces and why is everyone suddenly angry?”

That may be exactly the kind of nonsense this concept needs.

A Small Delay, Not a Disaster

A delay from June 11 to June 30 is not exactly a Death Star-level setback. It is a short push, and unless something else changes, the game is still arriving in the same month.

But it is worth noting because Star Wars gaming has become a strange calendar of huge hopes, long silences, and very specific side projects. In the wider complete history of Star Wars games, Heroes vs. Villains will probably sit in the “weird but memorable” corner.

And that corner matters.

Not every Star Wars game has to be a cinematic Jedi epic.

Sometimes it can just be Darth Vader ruining your rent strategy.
