It’s been a while since I’ve brought you a new chapter of this ongoing series, Heir to the Empire. It’s a great watch and free on YouTube. It never ceases to amaze me the great things Star Wars fans come up with but this one is a longtime favorite of mine, and I’m glad they’re keeping the series going. This is Chapter 8, so if you’re new, go back to the beginning and start from Chapter 1. You will not be disappointed. I don’t want t talk too much about the video itself, because I don’t want to give away the content before you’ve had a chance to watch it. It’s about 10 minutes long, so when you have a block of time to devote to it, go ahead and click below and catch up in the series. Find out what the Empire is planning. Chapter 8 of Heir to…
What Does it Mean to Be a Gamer Today?
In recent years, technology has changed the way we see games and the people who play them. There was a time were a “gamer” would be looked at as a nerd who hangs out in the arcade all day, or even in the pejorative sense of someone lacking good social skills who hangs out in his parent’s basement all day on the computer. Video games were initially looked at as child’s play, but those kids grew up and they still enjoyed the games they had grown up on. Now, there are no age, sex, race, religion or gender restrictions on video games. They are well and truly loved by people from all ages and all backgrounds, available in different languages and on different platforms. Because games have changed so much over the years, the way we define who a “gamer” is has also changed over the years. The past three…

Fans are Taking Star Wars Battlefront 2 into their Own Hands!
We haven’t written about Star Wars Battlefront 2 in a bit, as the game seems to be dying out a bit. The developed just dropped all new work or content for Battlefront 2 so that they could put their efforts into Battlefield 6 instead. And the fans and everyone involved were very upset with this controversial decision for Dice to drop the game. But Star Wars gamer fans have seen this before and we’ve become resilient and innovative. Dice would be fine with letting the game die. However, the fans have now taken it upon themselves to bring the game back to life! Modders have stepped up to do new content, cosmetics, and other great things to add to the game and keep it going. We’ve seen this in the Star Wars community before and it warms my heart every time. TheOzzyJedi tells us more here: So, what do you…

50 INSANE Details and Easter Eggs – Lego Star Wars Holiday Special
I love Lego Star Wars and I love the Easter eggs and nods to other Star Wars films and media. Bombastic has compiled it all for us in this one great video! The original holiday special is hilariously controversial. It’s in the “so bad it’s good” category, and every Star Wars fan knows of it and probably has strong opinions about it. This Lego special is like the sequel to that 1970s original and it’s great! All of the Lego films and games are fond of paying homage to things that come before in the featured franchise, and Star Wars is no exception. If you’re a Star Wars fan, it can be a lot of fun to watch this and try to spot all the little Easter Eggs or other references, some to other Star Wars movies and some to non-Star Wars things. This video will show you the best…

Star Wars Galaxies: The Dangers of SWGemu’s 1.0
Have you come back to play Star Wars Galaxy through SWGemu? Many players who loved the game before are enjoying it once more under emulators like SWGemu. Others who never got the chance to play it before are experiencing it for the first time because of emulators. While SWG and the current emulators are not without their downsides, the best part about player-generated content is that the fans can greatly impact the content that you see in the game. While it’s impossible to please all of the people all of the time, the developers and volunteers who work on these projects always try their best to give the community what they want. In fact, it is because of the SWG community that we even have any way to experience this game at all today. With that in mind, here’s a video about the dangers of SWGEmu’s 1.0. It covers some…

At the moment due to these covid times, the tattoo shops are all shut and I am unable to work. I have created this Star Wars inspired Japanese fan art in the hopes of keeping my son provided for. this is a “namakubi” or “severed head”. It’s not a traditional namakubi as I have tried to keep it some what child friendly, so the violence and gore has been toned down. This was hand drawn and then remastered digitally for quality. All prints are on the highest quality photo finish gloss paper and are posted tracked and signed for and all buyers are protected by pay pal. If you would like to own a copy of this please go ahead and visit my online store https://gingetattoo.bigcartel.com/ thank you for taking the time to read this and I hope you are all staying safe. may the force be with you
KOTOR 2 Modding Story – How Deleted Content was Restored
GamePressure has a great video about KOTOR 2 modding and how deleted content was restored. KOTOR and KOTOR 2 are some of the most popular games in Star Wars gaming history. At least, KOTOR was. KOTOR 2 seemed doomed from the start, as it had a large benchmark to measure up to, and there were some other problems than came into play during development. This video will cover some of those issues, what happened, and why the publisher was to blame for this sequel. Because a publication date got bumped forward much sooner than originally planned, a lot of content had to be cut. This meant the game had a lot of referenced to places, people, or things that were simply not in the game. but now, more than 10 years later, the game is still alive and that’s in part due to modders who helped restore deleted content. Check…

SWTOR: Behind the Scenes of the Feast of Prosperity
Two weeks ago, BioWare launched a new seasonal event called the Feast of Prosperity. Here is an interview with World Designer in Star Wars the old Republic, Allison Berryman to do a behind the scenes look of this new even. Events are a cornerstone of repeatable content for Star Wars: The Old Republic. Recurring events, like Rakghoul Resurgence and the All Worlds Ultimate Swoop Rally, happen every few months, while Seasonal events only happen once a year. Let’s do a quick introduction! Long-time forum readers may recognize your name, but what do you currently do on the SWTOR team? Yes, hi! You may recognize me from long, long ago around launch, when I was a Senior Community Coordinator, or from the forums (where I think my name may still be on some of the stickies…). A couple of cross-country moves and a career change later, and now I’m a World Designer!…
