And it may be sooner than you think. When EA relased Star Wars – Jedi: Fallen Order, they had a lot to prove. There was a lot of criticism surrounding Star Wars: Battlefront and its sequel and this meant the pressure was on for Fallen Order.
The good news is, Respawn Entertainment delivered and Fallen Order was a success. So much so, in fact, that reports from Kotaku say there is a sequel and it might be even sooner than you’d think.
According to Kotaku‘s report, Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order 2 is one of two Star Wars games still in active development at EA. EA’s latest financial call showed that the game was a greater success than they had anticipated.
“Sales of Star Wars — Jedi: Fallen Order significantly beat our expectations,” CFO Blake Jorgensen said. “We had forecast 6 million to 8 million units for the fiscal year, but to hit the high end of that in the third quarter, and now we anticipate selling around 10 million units in the fiscal year, a very strong result for a single-player action game.”
It’s a fairly good assumption that EA will want to cash in on this success while the timing is still right, so the sequel that is already in development could be finding its way to you very soon.
There’s very little information right now about the Fallen Order sequel – other than the fact there is one. However, we’re going to follow it very closely and will report any new information to you as soon as we hear about it.
