Grogu is officially back on the Holotables, and this time he brought mechanics, snacks, and what appears to be a small hovercraft full of bad decisions.
EA and Capital Games have revealed the kit for Grogu & Anzellans, a new Star Wars: Galaxy of Heroes unit inspired by Grogu’s recent adventures alongside the tiny droidsmiths. According to the official kit reveal on the EA Forums, the unit arrives as a Light Side Healer with Mandalorian, New Republic, and Unaligned Force User tags.
So yes, this is not just “cute Grogu in vehicle” content.
This is “cute Grogu in vehicle who may quietly ruin your enemy’s turn plan” content.
A Healer With Annoying Little Teeth
Grogu & Anzellans are built around healing, durability, debuffs, and New Republic synergy. The unit’s basic ability, Good Shot, Baby!, deals only 1 True damage, which sounds hilarious until the rest of the kit starts making it annoying.
The attack inflicts Off Balance, can apply Force Influence on Grogu & Anzellans’ own turn, and can Ability Block enemies during enemy turns. That makes the unit less about raw damage and more about interrupting, slowing, and setting up a battlefield where the opposing team gets increasingly tired of the small green problem in the hovercraft.
The first special, Tune Up, equalizes allied Health, grants Defense Up, gives Attackers and Tanks Endure, and adds extra recovery for Mandalorian or New Republic allies.
Basically, the Anzellans brought the repair tools, and Grogu brought the snack-based healing philosophy.
New Republic Players Should Pay Attention
The more interesting part is how strongly this kit points toward the New Republic faction’s future.
Strapped In dispels enemy buffs, grants allies Dramatic Entrance, adds Heal Over Time, gives Stealth to other Healers and Supports, and specifically boosts a target New Republic ally with Retribution and cooldown reduction. Meanwhile, the enemy target gets On the Run and a cooldown increase.
That is a lot of words, which means it is definitely a Galaxy of Heroes kit.
But the shape is clear: Grogu & Anzellans are designed to help New Republic teams survive, counter, recover, and punish enemy turns.
The unique ability Bad Baby! goes even harder. If all allies are New Republic, the team starts with extra Max Health and Protection plus Deflective Ward. It also triggers Heal Over Time stacks when certain defensive effects are lost, helps counter Stun and Daze under specific Galactic Legend conditions, and adds a Grand Arena Omicron for Mandalorian or New Republic squads.
About That New Republic Galactic Legend Tease
The most eyebrow-raising part of the reveal may not be Grogu himself.
It is the line about an allied New Republic Galactic Legend.
EA does not reveal who that is yet, but the kit directly references one, which means the current New Republic rollout is not just random faction decoration. Capital Games is clearly building toward something bigger.
Given the recent wave of New Republic-era kits, this feels less like a one-off Grogu joke and more like another piece in a larger squad puzzle.
And yes, the moment a kit says “we can’t reveal this just yet,” the Holotable conspiracy boards immediately get new red string.
Grogu, But Useful
The second unique, Din Grogu, adds more flavor by tying Grogu’s Jedi and Mandalorian training together. If all allies are New Republic, enemies begin with Distract, and enemies gaining Speed Up can also be hit with Distract and On the Run. Grogu & Anzellans also gain stacks of Force Connection, with the cap increasing if any version of The Mandalorian is on the team.
That is a nice touch.
Grogu is not just being treated as a mascot. The kit reflects where the character is now: Force-sensitive, Mandalorian-trained, disruptive, weirdly durable, and still extremely likely to cause chaos while someone smaller than a protocol droid shouts nearby.
The Marquee Is Coming Soon
Grogu & Anzellans’ marquee event begins June 30 at 11am Pacific.
For players chasing New Republic teams, Mandalorian utility, or future Galactic Legend prep, this is probably one to watch closely. For everyone else, it is still hard not to respect the sheer absurdity of Galaxy of Heroes turning Grogu and his tiny mechanic friends into a tactical recovery engine.
That is the magic of SWGOH.
One minute you are reading about Deflective Ward and cooldown manipulation.
The next, you remember this is all because a tiny green child got strapped into a hovercraft with some very stressed Anzellans.
