Star Wars Unlimited bounty hunter character cards display

Star Wars: Unlimited’s 2026 Convention Exclusive Is Pure Bounty Hunter Bait

Star Wars: Unlimited knows exactly how to make collectors nervous.

Fantasy Flight Games has revealed the 2026 Convention Exclusive product, and this year’s theme is pure Underworld chaos: Boba Fett, The Mandalorian, Cad Bane, Qi’ra, Jabba the Hutt, and Zam Wesell.

That is not a card pack.

That is a criminal networking event with better artwork.

The exclusive pack includes six alternate-art variant cards with a grayscale visual style and will be available at selected conventions from 2026 into 2027. The price is $100, because apparently even cardboard has learned how to charge like the Hutt Cartel.

Six Cards, Maximum Bounty Hunter Energy

The lineup is the real hook here.

From A Lawless Time, the pack includes Boba Fett, The Mandalorian, and Cad Bane. From Ashes of the Empire, it includes Qi’ra and Jabba the Hutt. From the upcoming Homeworlds set, it includes Zam Wesell.

That is a strong mix of classic bounty hunter nostalgia, modern Mandalorian popularity, Clone Wars menace, underworld politics, and prequel weirdness.

In other words: dangerous people, expensive cardboard, and collectors quietly telling themselves this is technically an investment.

We have all seen this movie before.

Some Cards Are Early, But Not Immediately Legal

There is one important gameplay detail.

Cards from Ashes of the Empire and Homeworlds will not be legal in Organized Play until those sets officially release.

That is a good call. It lets collectors get flashy early versions without turning a convention-exclusive product into a competitive requirement.

So yes, this is premium collector bait.

But at least it is not forcing tournament players to hunt down a $100 convention box just to keep up.

Small mercy from the Outer Rim economy.

Darth Vader Also Gets a Promo

The convention push also includes a Darth Vader event-exclusive promo card tied to demos at select events.

Because of course Vader shows up.

You cannot have a Star Wars promotional campaign without someone eventually opening the Imperial emergency box and pulling out the galaxy’s most reliable marketing machine.

The Vader promo features artwork by Vincent Dutrait, who also handled the 2026 Convention Exclusive art. That gives the whole convention package a nice visual connection.

It also gives people another reason to stop at the booth “just for a quick look,” which is usually how collectible hobbies win.

Why the Underworld Theme Works

The Underworld and Bounty Hunter theme is smart because this side of Star Wars always sells the fantasy well.

Jedi and Sith are mythic. Rebels and Imperials are iconic. But bounty hunters, smugglers, crime lords, assassins, and syndicate operators make the galaxy feel lived-in.

They bring the dirt.

The debts.

The bad contracts.

The feeling that not every Star Wars story needs to be about saving the entire galaxy before lunch.

That is also why these characters work so well across Star Wars games, from Bounty Hunter and Battlefront to SWTOR’s own bounty hunter fantasy. We keep tracking that broader playable galaxy in our Complete List of All Star Wars Games Ever Made, and the lesson keeps repeating:

The side jobs are often where Star Wars gets interesting.

Collector Bait? Absolutely.

Let’s not pretend otherwise.

Six alternate-art cards. Limited event availability. Famous characters. Convention exclusivity. A $100 price tag.

This thing is designed to make collectors sweat.

But good collector bait still needs a strong theme, and this has one. The character selection makes sense. The art treatment is distinctive. The event rollout gives it scarcity without making it essential for immediate competitive play.

That is about as reasonable as a premium pack of Star Wars criminals can be.

Star Wars: Unlimited is using one of the franchise’s strongest engines here: stylish bad people with excellent brand recognition.

Boba Fett sells.

The Mandalorian sells.

Cad Bane sells.

Jabba sells.

Qi’ra adds modern underworld intrigue.

Zam Wesell adds prequel-era flavor.

So yes, the 2026 Convention Exclusive is bounty hunter bait.

But it is good bait.

The kind with a convention line, a collector panic, and probably one person whispering, “I don’t need this,” while already reaching for their wallet.
