Star Wars gaming roundup header featuring Zero Company, SWTOR, LEGO Star Wars Castaways, Battlefront II, and Fortnite content for August 2026.

Everything Star Wars Gamers Need to Know in August 2026

August 2026 is a rare thing in modern Star Wars gaming: a month with an actual new game at the centre of it.

Star Wars: Zero Company launches on August 27, SWTOR begins a new Galactic Season, LEGO Star Wars: Castaways heads on summer vacation, and Battlefront II continues offering weekly bonuses to anyone still fighting over command posts eight years after launch.

There may even be a Fortnite crossover lurking somewhere in the second half of the month.

Here is everything Star Wars gamers should keep an eye on during August.

August 1: LEGO Star Wars Castaways Starts Summer Vacation

LEGO Star Wars: Castaways has launched its returning Summer Vacation event for August.

The limited-time event runs through August 31 and offers themed minifigure parts, vehicles, and other customisation rewards inspired by LEGO Star Wars Summer Vacation.

It replaces July’s Revenge of the Sith-themed Sith Moves event, giving Apple Arcade players another month of quests and cosmetics to unlock.

Because apparently the safest way to enjoy a summer holiday is with LEGO starfighters, galactic criminals, and several thousand detachable body parts.

August 11: The Darth Jar Jar Event Ends in Galaxy of Heroes

Star Wars: Galaxy of Heroes enters August with the Era of Myths & Legends still underway.

The current Darth Jar Jar event runs until August 11, giving players a final window to complete its progression requirements and collect the available rewards.

Capital Games also deployed a July 31 hotfix changing the Era Level recipes for Levels 56 and 61. The developer reported that the initial deployment encountered a problem, so affected players should keep an eye on further updates before committing valuable resources.

As usual, the most important Galaxy of Heroes ability remains checking three different menus before spending anything.

Throughout August: Battlefront II Keeps Its Weekly Events Running

Star Wars Battlefront II is not receiving new content in August, but its automated weekly events continue.

Mondays feature faster spawning, Wednesdays offer Triple XP, Fridays reduce the Battle Point cost of reinforcements, and weekends provide Double XP.

That makes August a useful month for returning players who want to level heroes, improve classes, unlock Star Cards, or discover that the person playing Darth Maul has apparently been online continuously since 2017.

It is not a new season.

But the servers are alive, the bonuses continue, and somebody still needs to defend Kamino.

August 18: SWTOR Galactic Season 11 Begins

Star Wars: The Old Republic launches Galactic Season 11, Light and Shadow, on August 18.

Rewards from Seasons 2 and 4 return, including the companions Fen Zeil and Amity. New additions include companion customisations, armour, companion-compatible mounts, titles, and Stronghold labels.

August also marks the first full month of testing for SWTOR 8.0.

The current Public Test Server phase includes new abilities for Sentinel, Marauder, Vanguard, Powertech, Sage, and Sorcerer, plus the opening boss from the upcoming Children of Nul Operation. Later phases will test the new difficulty system, Ventures, Ryloth Dynamic Encounters, and additional Operation bosses.

Expected in August: Fortnite May Get a Zero Company Crossover

Fortnite has not officially announced a major Star Wars event for August.

However, a reported Star Wars: Zero Company crossover may arrive around the game’s launch.

The leaked promotion reportedly includes a Forsworn Trooper outfit, a loading screen, an emoticon, and a spray. It may be connected to an Epic Games Store purchase or promotion rather than a standard Item Shop bundle.

The exact date, price, and unlock requirements remain unconfirmed.

With Zero Company launching on August 27, a reveal during the second half of the month would make obvious marketing sense. That is still an inference, not an announced schedule.

August 27: Star Wars Zero Company Launches

The month’s largest release is unquestionably Star Wars: Zero Company.

Bit Reactor’s single-player turn-based tactics game launches on August 27 for PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S. The PC release is scheduled for 3:00 PM UTC.

Players command Hawks and a squad of customised Operators during the final years of the Clone Wars.

Missions involve tactical positioning, injuries, relationships, vehicle support, and permanent character deaths on higher difficulties. The squad includes both authored characters and fully customisable recruits.

You can prepare through our Star Wars Zero Company complete guide, which collects everything revealed about the campaign, characters, combat, editions, worlds, and release.

We have also covered the game’s confirmed planets and mission locations, its Collector’s Edition, and why it has no traditional microtransactions despite premium cosmetic armour.

August 27 may therefore be the day several carefully named Operators discover that “permadeath” was not decorative menu language.

Galactic Racer Is Building Toward October

Star Wars: Galactic Racer does not launch until October 6, but its marketing campaign is gathering speed.

The run-based arcade racer recently showed more of its campaign, branching event structure, vehicle upgrades, and aggressive racing.

August could bring more tracks, vehicles, multiplayer information, or extended gameplay as Fuse Games moves closer to release.

You can follow every reveal through our Star Wars: Galactic Racer hub.

A Rare Month With a Brand-New Star Wars Game

Star Wars gaming has spent plenty of months surviving on mobile updates, rereleases, rumours, and announcements scheduled for a distant financial quarter.

August 2026 is different.

It brings a new single-player tactics game, a fresh SWTOR season, ongoing MMO testing, a new Castaways event, weekly Battlefront II bonuses, and a possible Fortnite promotion.

For once, the problem is not finding something to play.

It is finding enough hours before September arrives.
