PSA: Companion Healing Getting You Down? This Solution Will Amaze You
Do you play a healer in SWTOR? Whether you are a healer man, someone who just rolled one to check it out, someone who made one to fill a need in your guild, or even someone who dislikes healer, you should give this lighthearted post a read. This post by wadewilsonmd might give you a chuckle. You can see the post made over on Reddit and if you read through the comments, you’ll also see where wage explains why the post was made: Obviously can’t speak for everyone, but I jokingly made this post because all I do is level healers (well I’ve got a few DPS that I’m leveling now that I’ve got my healers past the class stories) and never got caught up in the companion nerf hubbub. I find the experience to be a lot of fun, but in the same way healing isn’t for everyone, neither is leveling healing….
Proposed Healing Changes in Game update 3.2.1 to be removed from SWTOR
It is no secret that players on the official forums, have been furies about the upcoming healing changes, that was supposed to come with game update 3.2.1. Therefor BioWare be removing these changes, to revise them and maybe add in a later patch: 3.2.1 PTS Healing Changes Removal | 04.30.2015, 08:28 AM Hey all, We want to thank everyone who offered constructive feedback and contributed to discussions regarding improvements to the proposed changes. Your feedback is much appreciated as we move forward with future PTS updates. Following internal review, we’ve decided to remove all of the proposed healing changes from 3.2.1. The goal of this update was to increase the burst healing of healers while simultaneously balancing healing per second (HPS) values, and resource management for healers. We are not completely satisfied with the present state of the healing changes, and want to give the community more time to play…
Tutorial Stream: How to Position Effectively as a Healer in PvP
Are you interested in becoming a better healer in SWTOR? Do you heal in PvP or plan to and have questions about how to get the most from your class in terms of healing? There is an upcoming tutorial stream on Twitch that just may help you out! I am Ferrite, a healer on Prophecy of the Five. I play all three healing classes and stream regularly. When my stream is online I receive a lot of questions about healing specifics, but I feel that the important topics are sometimes overseen. As a result I have decided to try a more organized show on a specific topic. If it works out well I will prepare more shows, improve the format, and work off of your suggestions. My first show will be about positioning at 8:30 EST (-5:00) Monday, May 27th. @ http://twitch.tv/ferritesc2 The order of topics is tentative, but as follows: How do…
SWTOR PvP Healing Gripe: Long Player Names and Titles
There have been many gripes about SWTOR thus far and a lot of them I agree with. In some ways, it’s because the game is new and BioWare still needs to make some tweaks and changes for everything to roll out properly. In other ways, it’s just because gamers will forever complain about PvP until the end of time. It’s the nature of the beast. But some recent complaints I’ve heard about healing in PvP don’t make sense to me. I’ve read it on the forums and this user Darchseraph on Reddit posts: As a healer I find myself missing a lot of heals that result in people dying because I simply can’t click select my heal target. Yes, you can choose directly from Op screen, but sometimes there are multiple people getting low, but only 1 or 2 actively taking damage. I have to look at both screen and…
The Sith Inquisition: Sorcerer Healing Build
The guys over at swtorsavior.com has created a video showing some excellent builds. Over the next few days, we will be showcasing some of the best builds they have come up with, but if you want the full advantage of there guides, you have to buy the swtorsavio guide, which is available here. Here is a build that you can use if you are playing as a healer with the Sith Inquisitor Sorcerer. Please read the notes about this build: Dark Heal – First healing skill that you pick up and later on should only be used if you need to stop someone from dying fast. Dark Infusion – use Infusion to replace Dark Heal as soon as you can as you are leveling up, again the only time you need to go back to Dark Heal is to stop someone from falling and emergencies. You can also use Static Barrier as well as Dark Heal to help tanks. Once you…
Ex WoW Healer on Healing TOR
I play a healer as my main in WoW. This isn’t a girl-stereotypical thing. Actually, WoW is the only MMORPG where I play healer. I play medic a lot in TF2 but healing in an FPS is totally different. Anyway, since SWTOR is basically the game that is supposed to be my WoW-replacement, you can bet my excitement to find this post by an ex-WoW healer who talks about healing in TOR. The intro says: “I’ve played up to level 19 as a SS (Sith Sorc) and up to 12 as an IO (Imperial Operative). I have not tried Merc yet, which is the only other healing class I haven’t played.” So it sounds like this person had pretty good experience as far as the classes they played. Here you will find a complete, 1500-word post that describes healing in TOR from the perspective of the two classes this reviewer…
Healing in SWTOR – What do we know?
A lot of people wants to know about the healing system in SWTOR. Will Star Wars: The Old Republic use a trinity system; the tank, healer, and the DPS class. Will the healer play a massive role, or will groups be able to go with no healing? So far Dallas Dickinson and Georg Zoeller hasn’t always agreed on how many healers their will be, and how healing works. Now the great people over at TorWars puplished a excellent article about what we know on Healing so far. A great read I encourage you to check out. Here is a snip: At this point, BioWare has made it clear that every class will have a sort of ‘second wind’ ability to add some healing and lower downtime. The devs have made it abundantly clear they want to avoid as much downtime as possible. This is a great thing. No one likes…
