1.3.5 Patch Notes, August 7, 2012

Servers are back up so it’s time to enjoy your new pet + 25 black hole commendations for server transfer rewards. Below are this weeks patch notes. No news on upcoming events, but I would not expect much before the game goes Free to play either. I find the  Legacy nerfs quite ridiculous in the patch. I guess BioWare is catering to the casual crowd and the people who just want to play the 8 stories without having to grind levels. And I guess that’s understandable. Classes and Combat Jedi Knight Sentinel Combat Saber Storm: The critical damage bonus this skill applied to Ataru Form was not functioning correctly, and we have opted to remove it, as Combat Sentinels are performing within expectations. This change does not affect the current combat effectiveness of this skill. Sith Warrior Marauder Carnage Sever: The critical damage bonus this skill applied to Ataru Form was not functioning…

Patch Notes 1.3.0a – 6/28/2012

Severs will be down June 28th, 2012.. No wait delay that… no wait, servers will be down we Apologies for the confusion. I donw and up the went. Servers ARE back up now though and a small patch has been applied. 1.3.0a Patch Notes 6/28/2012 Group Finder Leaving a Group Finder group where all other members have disconnected will no longer cause players to be temporarily locked out of Group Finder. Flashpoints and Operations will no longer occasionally reset and eject players who have recently used Group Finder for a replacement member. PvP Ballistic and Knockback effects no longer occasionally de-sync the character’s location, which could cause characters to not interact properly with the world (such as being able to be hit by melee attacks when the character appeared to be out of range). Personally I have experienced both of these. Glad to see that it wasn’t just lag in pvp,…

Crew Skills and Items in Game Update 1.3

BioWare updated the community blog, with a new post, describing some of the upcoming changes, we can expect happening to items and crew skills when path 1.2 launches. While we have covered most of the the information here before, the blog provides a great summary of the relevant details. Prior to Game Update 1.3, it was only possible to create an Augmented item through a critical crafting success. Augmented items have an additional mod slot, conveniently called an augment. Some of the most valuable items in the game right now are orange shells that have been crafted with an augment slot unlocked, because they have exceptional stat potential with their full complement of mod slots. While these items are cool, they are indicative of a systemic inequity between different types of items. That’s where Augment Tables come in. That covers most of the changes you’ll see for items in Game…

Q &A for Friday May 28- Ranked Warzones is on track for 1.3!

This week’s Q&A is a special edition because we have great info on the upcoming 1.3 game update. One thing that many players are very excited about is the inclusion of ranked warzones. But that’s not all that we should expect for game update 1.3. Let’s see more of this special edition Q&A to find out. Here’s a snippet: >llesna: Can you please tell us why the upcoming Legacy additions for Game Update 1.3 are character-specific rather than Legacy-wide? Daniel Erickson (Lead Game Designer): Legacy Perks have a different purpose than global unlocks and are specifically designed to enable players to customize each individual character. Since you may not care about Space XP or running the Bonus Series missions on one character it is important that you’re not paying a premium that is calculated at the expense of 8 or more characters all gaining this benefit. This also means the…

Daniel Erickson: The best thing about a live MMO is that you have a living, changing game. SWTOR will continue to evolve and improve across the board. Harder content outside the operations is a personal passion of mine…

It makes them sound like William Shatner: “And…the new…features…
