The dramatic last-minute montage where your abandoned SWTOR alt stares at the login screen and wonders if today is finally the day.
According to SWTOR’s official May 2026 event schedule, the current Double XP Event ends on May 22 at 12:00PM GMT. That means the easy leveling window is almost closed, and the ancient player ritual of saying “I’ll level that character later” is about to become legally invalid.
Later is now.
Sorry. The calendar has spoken.
Double XP Is Still the Best Excuse to Log In
SWTOR’s Double XP event is not complicated, which is exactly why it works.
You log in.
You pick the alt you have neglected since 2021.
You start doing story missions, heroics, flashpoints, PvP, Galactic Starfighter, or whatever path causes the least emotional damage.
The event is especially useful if you have been meaning to replay a class story, prepare another character for future content, unlock more Legacy progress, or finally get a character out of the “great idea, terrible follow-through” phase.
Everyone has one.
Some of us have twelve.
It Is Not Just XP Either
Broadsword’s wider May celebration has also included May the 4th rewards and bonuses, including a free BX-RC Probe Droid minipet for players who log in during the event window and a subscriber reward in the form of the Vectron Phantom RC2 mount, inspired by The Mandalorian and Grogu.
So if you have not logged in at all during May, this is also your reminder to check whether there are rewards sitting there quietly judging you.
Double XP is the obvious headline, but the event window has been doing a lot of heavy lifting for SWTOR’s Star Wars month.
What Should You Do Before It Ends?
If you only have a short session, keep it simple.
Push one character through a few story chapters. Finish a planet you abandoned halfway through. Knock out heroics. Queue something. Clean up that class mission that has been sitting in your log for so long it may now legally own property.
Do not over-plan it.
The great enemy of SWTOR alt leveling is not difficulty. It is opening your character screen, staring at too many choices, and then logging off to “think about it.”
Do not think. Level.
The Bounty Hunters Are Waiting Next
Once Double XP ends, SWTOR’s May calendar still has Bounty Contract Week coming from May 26 to June 2, so the month is not exactly going quiet.
But the leveling bonus is the thing to use right now.
After May 22, you can still level normally, of course. The galaxy will not collapse. Your companions will not stage an intervention. Probably.
But if you wanted the fast track, this is your last warning.
Level the alt.
The Force is giving you one final shove.
