Imperial players have 2V-R8 and Republic players have C2-N2. Both of them are known to be most annoying thing in SWTOR. Some people find them so annoying that they are afraid to enter their ship. Wish they add the disable option for for this retarded robot. Pro tip, below this video is a elegant pathing to avoid conversation…

TOR TV: Crew Skills Guide
Youtube User MrSamDoolan recently made a basic crew skills guide designed to help out newer players who don’t completely understand the concept of crew skills and what they do. Crew skills are TOR’s equivalent to professions from other MMO’s. It focuses on sending your companions out to perform tasks for you in order to progress your skill in your chosen crew skills. Link to the linked crew skills image can be found in his latest blog post so make sure to check it out! Also remember to follow MrSamDoolan on Twitter. Interested in SWTOR Movies? TOR TV: I Used to Be a Field Operative Just Like You…
The Skyrim “Arrow in the Knee” meme was all over the internet for the last few month of 2011. So much that gamers now grit their teeth every time someone beats this dead horse. Let’s give this old meme an official farewell and introduce a new one from Star Wars: The old republic. Its like the arrow to the knee reference but this guy got a lightsaber… to the lungs…
Custom Loading Screens Must Repair after Patch
Remember we told you about how you could customize your SWTOR loading screen? As much fun as it is to do so, you will have to pay the price for having done so. Associate Online Community Manager Joveth Gonzalez explains on the official SWTOR forums: Hey everyone, We’ve noticed that many of you have been going into your SWTOR game files and overwriting the default loading screen. While this has resulted in some very impressive custom loading screens, we need to remind you all that changing game files will corrupt your installation and force you to repair with the subsequent patch. Overwrite your SWTOR loading screen at your own peril. Thank you Oh, file corruption… you ruin all the fun! So anyway, knowing this now, will you continue to customize your loading screen or will you go back to default and just stick with that to save the trouble of…
1.0.2d Patch Notes 1/12/2012
BioWare used today’s maintenance to fix a few minor bugs in the game. Below are the patch notes Items Fixed an exploit that allowed the removal of Armoring item modifications that were not intended to be available for removal on Artifact quality items. Magenta color crystal recolored hot pink, renamed to “Fabulous Crystal””. Stats remain unchanged. ( oh wait…) Flashpoints and Operations Flashpoints Bug Fixes Fixed an issue that sometimes prevented players from resetting their active Flashpoint. Operations Eternity Vault Using “Reset All Active Operations” no longer causes Soa and the Ancient Pylons to respawn even if the player is currently locked out of these encounters.
Official dev response regarding blurry high quality textures: Shit storm incoming!
Almost since the first release day of SWTOR, users at the official SWTOR forum have raised concern about missing high quality graphical textures that was in the game during Beta. After investigating the issue, Senior Online Community Manager Stephen Reid responded to the problem and thereby started a tsunami on the official forums. Check out Reids answer below and follow the debate over here, but embrace yourself, you will never find a more wretched hive of scum and villainy than there! Hey everyone, thanks for bearing with us as we investigated the concerns raised here. After investigation, it seems that the confusion here is a combination of a UI issue that’s been resolved and a feature that’s working as intended, but the reason why it’s ‘working as intended’ needs explanation. First, the UI issue. The preferences menu as it is seen on the Public Test Server for version 1.1 of the game is correct…
TOR TV: My Sith is a Jerk
Youtube user TheDrunkAndThePwned have uploaded two hilarious movies about the dark side to the Force. It’s funny how well crafted and deserving insults can be extremely funny, but please don’t direct this towards other players 😉
Old Republic update 1.1 being tested, adds New Bosses and a Raid
Last week BioWare released this week’s patch notes for the Old Republic test servers, which shows several exciting features in update 1.1 like a new Flashpoint and anti-aliasing. The new Flashpoint, “Koan Under Siege,” is designed for your standard four players at level 50. In addition to the new instance, four more bosses are being added to “Operation: Karagga’s Palace.” Other cool new features in 1.1 is anti-aliasing added to the game, an option previously unavailable, PVP has been adjusted, as well. Level 50 players now get their own, exclusive, warzone bracket. Fear not, however, level 49 players will still be available to murder you horribly. “”High priority” bug fixes are also being looked at, spanning various skills, companions, and that incredibly annoying healing aura. Check the official site for the complete list. Star Wars: The Old Republic – Game Update 1.1 General Anti-aliasing is now available and can be…
The great hunt: Annihilation Droid XRR-3 (Eternity Vault 8man HM)
Ready to start raiding in SWTOR? Well you’ll want to check out this guide to the entry boss in the first available “operation” (raid) in the game. It covers both the normal and hardmode versions for a 8man set-up. There are three levels of difficulty available, normal, hard and nightmare. You can also go as a 8man group or 16man. Right now the difficulty shifts the damage done, the health of the boss and the speed/danger of some of his abilities. Swtorextreme will be bringing you guides on all the bosses through the next few weeks so make sure you don’t miss them. We hope to also bring you nightmare mode guides as well, but even we need some time to get them down! 😛 It’s also worth mentioning that we are now Live Streaming our raids (as well as other things such as pre-mades in PVP) over on Twitch….
Server Maintenance yet again.
BioWare have closed down there servers to patch the dupe exploit that has been around for a few days. While I’m pretty bummed about not getting to play as much as I would like on my day off, I’m happy that BioWare fix these exploits as fast as possible. So what was the exploit about anyways? Well basically you fool vendors to think that they bought a stack of 99 items while they actually only bought one item. readers have mailed us how they made millions of credits before the server went down, but we have no screen shots to prove it. Funny thing about this bug is not the bug it self (shit happens and then you fix it) but the fact that Reddit and 4chan users tried rallying the masses to “take down TOR”. I’m not sure what’s up with these people, but you can read more about “Operation Occupy SW: ToR” here.
Unscheduled maintenance (1.0.2b Patch Notes 1/5/2012)
The SWTOR Servers just went down for an unscheduled maintenance. Here is the what why and when: We are working on getting a patch deployed to address the issues that some players are still experiencing after 1.0.2 including: Fixing an issue that causes in-game chat channels to stop functioning for some players. Preventing social emotes (like /getdown) from interfering with combat. We’re currently testing this patch, and we hope to have it deploy sometime in the early hours of the morning tomorrow (CST), but if we experience any issues with this patch, we may hold off its deployment until tomorrow night. The combat bug with social emotes we talked about yesterday was pretty game breaking, and so is the chat channel bug, so it’s nice to know that BioWare are ready to resolve problems fast rather then wait till next scheduled update. Random image is random. Nice Rancore though 🙂
Star Wars: The Old Republic Patch 1.0.2 01/04/2012
All servers were down for maintenance for a few hours today. Originally BioWare planed a 8 hour downtime, but the servers are up again after only a few hours. Here is the new patch notes that came with the maintenance. General Guilds that are currently leaderless will have an Officer chosen and promoted to Guild Leader. Classes and Combat Sith Inquisitor General The Darth title is now properly granted to Sith Inquisitors. Bug Fixes Corrected an issue that could prevent players from taking cover when targeting large NPCs. Fixed a bug that caused some abilities with activation times to be interrupted when used from cover. Flashpoints and Operations Flashpoints Cademimu General Ortol can no longer be pulled out of his room. Maelstrom Prison Corrected an issue that could cause Grand Moff Kilran to behave incorrectly when defeated in cover. Taral V General Edikar now has the correct loot in Hard Mode…

Corellia Datacron Locations
Corellia was the capital planet of the Corellian system, which included Selonia, Drall, Tralus, and Talus. It was also the birthplace of smuggler and New Republic General Han Solo as well as Rogue Squadron pilot and New Republic hero Wedge Antilles, along with many other humans who played important roles in the histories of the Rebel Alliance, New Republic, and Galactic Alliance. Collectively, the planets of the system were known as the Five Brothers. As the largest planet and the closest to Corell, Corellia was often called the “Eldest Brother” or the “Eldest.” Historians believed the Celestials assembled the system artificially, the worlds brought from other parts of the galaxy for unknown reasons. Some believed that these Celestials populated Corellia with Humans from Coruscant. Voss Datacron Locations
Voss was a planet located within the Voss system of the Outer Rim Territories. It was inhabited by Gormak and a less numerous species, who were named Voss like the planet. The two were engaged in warfare for many years circa 3,653 BBY. The Galactic Republic and the Sith Empire discovered the planet shortly after the signature of the Treaty of Coruscant. For centuries, the two native sentient species of Voss—the Voss and the Gormak—were at war with each other. Following the Treaty of Coruscant that ended the Great Galactic War in 3,653 BBY, Voss was accidentally discovered by the larger galaxy. It was invaded by the Sith Empire, and the Galactic Republic moved to defend the world against the Sith by occupying it themselves. However, the Voss were able to out-maneuver both factions due to the visions of their Force-using tradition, the Voss Mystics. In the aftermath of the…
TOR TV: A Wasted Year
The guild Starfleet Dental, used their new years eave creating this little jewel of a machinima. The video for A Wasted Year is pretty spot-on for the material and keeps pace with the music fairly well. I was not aware that someone made a polka version of ZZ Tops ” give me all your loving” and I’m not sure I aprove of it either though. My favorite part is at the end, when they all break out into fireworks and dancing. It’s rare that videos make me wish I could be included in that game play. But if I’d had an invite to that party, I definitely would have been there with bells on. Interested in SWTOR Movies? We have new movies most weekdays here on swtorstrategies! Belsavis Datacron Locations
Belsavis was a planet in the Ninth Quadrant, which was a region of the Bozhnee sector. Ice-covered, its average temperature was in the -50s. It was located on the Belsavis Run At some unknown point in the past, the planet became one of the many worlds that belonged to the Rakata Infinite Empire. During that time, the Rakata made use of the world as a prison colony where they placed many dangerous prisoners that remained trapped for the millennia. It entered an ice age around 5,000 BBY. Its inhabitants dwelt in three volcanic jungle rifts. During the Great War, the Republic used Belsavis’ prison to confine dangerous Sith lords and war criminals. Hoth Datacron Locations
Hoth was the sixth planet of the remote Hoth system. A desolate world covered with ice and snow, located in the Anoat sector, a rarely-traveled portion of the Outer Rim Territories, it became famous as the one-time location of the Alliance to Restore the Republic’s Echo Base during the Galactic Civil War. It was discovered in 3 ABY by the Empire, causing the Battle of Hoth, a major engagement that destroyed the Rebels’ base and gave them heavy casualties. Hoth’s existence was known throughout the galaxy as early as 4,000 BBY. The swamp wampas of Dromund Kaas were proven by scientists to be descended from the wampas of Hoth. It is possible that wampas were brought to Dromund Kaas during the Great Galactic War though the truth remains a mystery. Indeed the Republic suffered a major defeat at the hands of the Empire during that conflict. The two fleets included…
Quesh Datacron Locations
Don’t forget to check out constantly growing list of guides for Star Wars: The old republic Discovered by the Galactic Republic during the Great Galactic War, Quesh’s toxic atmosphere made the planet uninhabitable for many lifeforms, and was initially dismissed by the Republic. Years later, however, a young Republic chemist realized potential for some of the chemicals found on Quesh to be used for the Republic, as many of the compounds on the planet closely resembled venenit shadaaga, roughly translated as “Hutt Venom”, a primary ingredient in very powerful adrenals. After this discovery was made, it was swiftly reoccupied by the Republic who began to invest in its production. However, the Republic engineers were unable to master the process of turning these chemicals into adrenals, so they resorted to an unlikely ally, the Hutts. Three Hutt cartels lended their help in the exchange for a share of the profits. Within a…
The Sith Inquisition: iPhone app Review – Galaxy Link
Good Afternoon Sithizens, We were asked to do a review of an iPhone app by the moderators of swtorstrategies.com, and not being ones to disapoint our masters, we did so eagerly. The app is called Galaxy Link, and although it doesn’t have any links to the game itself due to the fact that Bioware has yet to put out their API for The Old Republic, the app does try to push what usefulness it can with timers, a small social networking tool, and a small encyclopedia of basic information on datacrons. The social networking tools are relatively bare bones, especially because it has no ability to tie into the game itself. It works by you entering the server and character you play, as well as answering some basic questions about them. After completing the short registration, you see a list of everyone else linked into the network, organized in multiple…
Republic Fleet Datacron: +10 All Stats
To start, you’ll need the Red Crystal Artifact found on Corellia, the MGGS found on Alderaan, and a Blue Crystal that you can get right there in the Museum on the Republic Fleet (which is where the fun begins). On to the guide! To begin, you’ll need to head to the Museum on the Gav Daragon within the Republic Fleet. You can do this by heading to the “Mission Departures” elevator on the main Republic Fleet ship and taking it to “Interfleet Transport.” Take the taxi to the “Gav Daragon” and then take the only elevator you’ll see to the “Gav Daragon Bridge.” Once there, head to the right (on the map, you’ll see an elevator-like circle, but no elevator icon) and take that elevator to the “Museum.”” Museum Access Once you are in the Museum, you need to jump up to the shuttle on top of the platform (you…
Imperial Fleet: +10 All Attribute Datacrons on Ziost Shadow
One thing the video doesn’t really make clear is that all 5 magnetic stabilizer buttons have to be active in order to get to the final door. This means that the first two are clicked, allowing the other two players to hookshot to their buttons and push them, then everyone hookshots to the middle one, and one person hookshots to the final button. All this has to be done within about 30 seconds. Also, the hookshots are very unreliable — you can be teleported back to your starting point or even fall to your death if you hookshot from a slightly wrong location. Generally speaking, you want to do it from as far back as possible so the angle is shallower. Also, once you have gotten the datacron, your red and blue crystals are destroyed and it is impossible to pick them up again. This means you can’t help anyone…
Alderaan Datacron Locations
Alderaan was a Core Founder of the Galactic Republic in 25,053 BBY and one of the anchor-points for early hyperspace exploration. Alderaan was headquarters of Alderaan Royal Engineers, an early Republic shipwright. Alderaanian colonists settled Nim Drovis. During the Mandalorian Wars, the planet was threatened with invasion by the forces of Cassus Fett, but the entire invasion force was prematurely decimated, due to misuse of an ancient Sith artifact. Read all about Alderaan here, and check out the Datacron locations below: Don’t forget to check out constantly growing list of guides for Star Wars: The old republic There is a Specialty Goods vendor that sells 2 items required to get 2 datacrons on this planet (and a couple others on other planets.) She is located in the Juran Mountains. There are a lot of dotted trails on map in the southern section, look for the one that is a counter-clockwise tilted “T”….
Tatooine Datacron Locations
Tatooine (pronounced tætu’in) was a desert world in a binary star system in the Arkanis sector of the Outer Rim Territories. It was inhabited by poor locals who mostly farmed moisture for a living. Other activities included used equipment retailing and scrap dealing. The planet was on the 5709-DC Shipping Lane, a spur of the Triellus Trade Route, which itself connected to the Sisar Run. The planet was not far from the Corellian Run. It had its own navigation system. However, it would still play a role in galactic events, serving as the home of Anakin Skywalker. It was here that Jedi Master Qui-Gon Jinn recognized Anakin’s potential to become a Jediand where he introduced him to Obi-Wan Kenobi, his future master and mentor. Tatooine was also the home of Anakin’s son, Luke, where he lived until his early adulthood. The planet built up a very bad reputation, often being…
