The Guild Sphere: Lucidic Kings

Today I had the chance to talk to David (King), guild leader of Lucidic Kings. Lucidic Kingswas originally formed as a DCUO guild, but has now also started a SWTOR division. The guild is semi-hardcore Empire guild that is focusing on getting the players for Operations. At the moment they are recruiting all classes and roles of all levels.  Lucidic Kings is active on the West coast US server Vornskr. Check out the full interview below:

Where did your guilds name come from?
My old roommate Lucide and my character King in DCUO..

Can you give me a quick 2-3 sentance description of your guild?
We’re pretty laid back, sometimes offensive. We just enjoy making fun of each other…

How did your guild come about?.
My old roommate and I wanted a league in DCUO when it came out so we put our first toons names together, Lucide and King, and got Lucidic Kings. We then went about dominating the Last Laugh server. I no longer play DC but I’ve heard LK is doing extremely well over there.

What kind of play style do you focus on? PvE, PvP, RP:
We focus on PvE and a little on PvP. Some of our members RP (myself included).

What is your guild set up? How do you run your guild?
We’re all pretty laid back so there isn’t much we do, really. We take a lot of input from members to decide what happens within the guild and do our best to make sure everyone is comfortable.

How serious do you play and/or run the guild?
In DCUO I was more serious with how I played than in SWTOR. We take raids semi seriously, but try not to make them into a big deal. It is a game, after all.

Do you have ranks or a certain hierarchy in your guild?
Yes, we do. We have our lowest, and most common rank, for members, then senior members who can invite others to the guild, then officers, the there are the leaders. Right now there are three leaders counting both games, one in DCUO and two in SWTOR.

Why did you choose The sith empire?
We played villains in DCUO and prefer the darker factions so empire was a rather obvious choice.

Why do you run a guild?
I made it before Lucide did. It’s also a pretty enjoyable, though sometimes stressful, experience. I get to help the members of my guild, which makes me happy!

How do you approach Raid Planning?
We post sign ups for raids on our forums. Only Officers and above can lead a raid, though we also allow some senior members to when we need. If you want to run, you post what role you wish to. It’s a first come, first serve basis.

Are you always open for new recruits or do you want to keep a certain guild size?
Right now we’re open for anyone in both games, especially SWTOR. We tend to keep it open to make it easier for people to form guild groups for stuff.

Age Requirement?
Yes, 18 or older. I am not getting in trouble for what a kid sees in our guild chat.

Guild size?
Between both games we have probably over 100 members, but in SWTOR right now we’re still small at five, because I’ve been lazy.

What makes your guild stand out from everyone else? What makes your guild unique?
We’re all skilled players and are always willing to help those who need it, even if they aren’t in our guild.

What do you think of the game so far?
I love it! The stories have me mesmerized.

What Other Games are you currently playing as a guild?
Just SWTOR and DCUO.

If somebody is interested now how and where can they apply for membership?
Either go to saddestzombie.com/lk and register then send a PM to someone with a BLUE name or send an in game mail or whisper to Mildrea, Soriya, Bom, or Lucide.

One last question, if there was one thing you could ask the Dev’s to include, what would it be?
That’s a tough one but I’d say either a guild bank or more character creation options.
