BioWare Austine just posted news article about the Alderaan stronghold. It’s no secret that the Alderaan Stronghold has been a highly requested addition, so the team was very happy to bring this to fruition with Game Update 6.1, ‘Pinnacles of Power,’ which went live earlier this month. To celebrate the release, we present a two-part conversation about the Alderaan Stronghold’s creation. A future interview will discuss the Stronghold’s functionality and design, but let’s get things started with our first interview, where we sit down with Mark Taylor and Emily Henderson to talk about the fundamental formation of the Stronghold! Since this is our first time doing an interview with both of you, let’s do a quick introduction. Who are you, and what do you do on the SWTOR team? Mark: I’m Mark Taylor, one of the Game Designers on the team. My role on the team includes Stronghold setup and creation…

New Way to Design Your SWTOR Stronghold
Players love strongholds and designing them is the best part for many players. Some players have gotten extremely creative with the things they design for their strongholds as well. There are also some really cool, fleshed-out ideas like this one, and there are also some great ideas over here. Barithor has some fun ideas like maps, structure hooks, and more. None of the current features of the strongholds would be taken away or changed for these ideas to be put into place. Here are some great new ideas about designing your stronghold: more decorations decoration hooks structure hooks new hooks to add elements to your stronghold cosmetic items unlock fees more customizations What ideas would you want to see in future strongholds? What features do you want to be able to use in yours? Are there any themes you really would like to have? Are there any limitations you have…
SWTOR Yavin IV Stronghold
It can be a lot of fun to see what other players do with their strongholds. There are so many things you can potentially do that there are no limits to the ideas players have come up with. Some have very clean, Ikea-like layouts and themes. Others go for a more rustic, realistic of the time frame plan. Some people just toss everything they like in there and call it a day. No matter what kind of player you are, you can do your own thing with strongholds and it’s a lot of fun. Bound to legacy upon purchase, strongholds are accessed by anyone in the same legacy, in some cases even characters of the opposite faction. You can also find stronghold listings available for all four planets across all servers. This is a lot of opportunity to do your stronghold just the way you want it and some players…

Changes comming to Tatooine Stronghold Maximum Hooks
Assistant Designer David Staats, responded to an issue with Tatooine Stronholds. Apparently they are getting a higher maximum hook count from 500 to 1100 on the PTS. New stronghold hook limit is way too high | 06.11.2015, 02:17 PM Hi all, First and foremost, thank you for your feedback regarding the updates to the Tatooine Homestead hook increase. While this was something we did not officially post about, we are interested in your thoughts regarding the update. Let me take a moment and give some insight as to why we are looking at increasing the allotted hook cap for the Tatooine Homestead. While reviewing our Stronghold hook limits across all Strongholds, we discovered that Tatooine in particular was drastically lower in regards to the available hooks to total hooks ratio than the other Strongholds. This means that those who owned the Tatooine Homestead actually had far less hooks to utilize compared…
SWTOR Temple Chair Basic to be available for only 1 credit
There is a bug with the decorations in the Deep Core/Core Worlds packs, were the decoration window that erroneously labeled Temple Chair Basic showed up. This was never intended to be in the pack, and due to this, the décor will now be available for 1 credit from the rep vendor. Hey folks, We looked into this and it turns out the chair was never intended to be in the pack, but appeared in the Decorations UI as being available from it. To remedy this, We are going to add the Decoration to the Esstran Exports Reputation vendor for 1 Credit with no Reputation requirement. This will go into the game with 3.2.2. Thanks all! Tait, Grand Emperor of Chairs and End Tables
