As we get closer to the eventual release of SWTOR, we see more reviews and previews coming out. For those who have not yet had a chance to beta or review the game, these previews and write-ups are a great way for us to learn more about the game. But as I always warn here, you have to take it for what it’s worth, which is another person’s opinion.

As far as opinions go however, we can usually rely on the gamer sites like MMOsite to give us good reviews and previews of upcoming games and that is exactly what they’ve done here. Their preview is a great overview of the game for those who do not have the time (or desire) to want to go through all the videos, trailers and other information out there about SWTOR.

Here’s a snippet:

One of the most prominent aspects of SW:TOR is choice; customization is the name of the game. With two main factions, the light and dark side, four classes to choose from, and two more sub-classes that players can choose to specialize in, players already have 16 options to choose from before they even create their character (though technically, players choose class specializations after leveling up, many are planning ahead). Those 16 choices are in addition to extremely high level character customization, from eye color to scars and everything in between.

The preview continues to explain companion characters, crafting, companion customization and more. They talk about the polish of the animations, combat interaction and more in SWTOR. They talk about the planets, the quests, the weapons and other interesting features. While there are still some players who are skeptical about the game and its success, this is a great preview that gives you a good idea of what SWTOR has to offer.

In closing, the preview says:

If readers want to keep an eye on or pre-order an up-and-coming game, Star Wars: The Old Republic is definitely the frontrunner.

Check it out for yourself and let us know what you think. If you’ve tried the game already, let us know if you think the preview is accurate.
