50 INSANE Details and Easter Eggs – Lego Star Wars Holiday Special

I love Lego Star Wars and I love the Easter eggs and nods to other Star Wars films and media. Bombastic has compiled it all for us in this one great video! The original holiday special is hilariously controversial. It’s in the “so bad it’s good” category, and every Star Wars fan knows of it and probably has strong opinions about it. This Lego special is like the sequel to that 1970s original and it’s great! All of the Lego films and games are fond of paying homage to things that come before in the featured franchise, and Star Wars is no exception. If you’re a Star Wars fan, it can be a lot of fun to watch this and try to spot all the little Easter Eggs or other references, some to other Star Wars movies and some to non-Star Wars things. This video will show you the best…

Oscars New Rules For Diversity and Inclusion for Best Picture Consideration

New Oscars eligibility rules for Best Picture consideration are creating confusion within studios, who are left wondering what impact (if any) on their movies it will have in the consideration for 2021 Oscars nomination.  In the meanwhile, critics are divided. Some call these rules into question because they detract from a movie’s merit, and put an unreasonable emphasis on quotas over quality instead. While others are left wondering whether these rules go far enough or whether they’re simply setting too low of a threshold, one which frankly already is in play. In other words, the Oscars are seeming to be doing something but in reality perpetuating the status quo. As with any attempt at change, there’s bound to be supporters as well as critics. What the Oscars have attempted isn’t perfect, by any stretch of the imagination, but in spirit it’s nevertheless a step in the right direction.  The Oscars…

Star Wars Galaxy of Heroes Galactic Legends: Unlock and Requirements

The devs over at Capital games are adressing some questions around which types of units and how many units will be required for Jedi Master Luke Skywalker and Sith Eternal Emperor. Both of these units will follow a similar roll out as previous Galactic Legends but with a shorter roll out and will not require previous Galactic Legends, such as Rey or Supreme Leader Kylo Ren, to unlock. There has also been some confusion around if there are 15 or 14 requirements as the two screens below show conflicting information. There are 15 units required for Jedi Master Luke Skywalker and 15 units required for Sith Eternal Emperor. The prerequisites screen is missing one of the units in a future batch and will be fixed in a future update. See you on the Holotables!

Star Wars: Darkness Rising: The Threat Within Chapters 13 and 14

Chapter: 13 Lando paced in and out of the cockpit.   Each time he came in, he looked at the holo-projection then turned and walked out again.   Nein sighed as Lando came back in once again.   There wasn’t anything that they could do until the padawans contacted them.   Lando grumbled then turned to walk back out of the cockpit.  BX began making noise and whistling.   “What?” Lando said.  Nein said something and pointed at the holo-projection.  Lando looked at the Holoprojection.  It zoomed in on a ship that was descending toward the city.   “It can’t be,” he said and sat down in the pilot’s chair.  BX whistled again.  Nein looked at some other information on a different screen.  He muttered something to Lando.  “Well, poodoo,” he said.  “Of all the luck to see them again.”  The hologram turned as the ship sailed overhead.   The words Star Dust clearly visible.  “I think…

The Mandalorian Ep 7 & 8 Rated 100% on Tomatometer

Can a show truly be perfect? If so, The Mandalorian has reached that pinnacle of critic perfection. Now that the entire first season has dropped on Disney+, the critics have weighed in and the show gets a 100% Tomato rating on Rotten Tomatoes for episodes 7 and 8. This is quite possibly unheard of. Most shows start off strong and peter out at the end. And when it comes to Star Wars stories… well, even the biggest fans know they have a pattern of leaving us with a let-down. The Mandalorian, however, does exactly the opposite of that. What started out as a fun, action-packed episodic adventure with a cute little “baby Yoda” who even non-Star Wars fans could get excited about has the most epic ending ever in that the ending is just the beginning. Episode 8 leaves us with more questions than answers, but in that “I can’t…
