Why Does EA Keep Canceling Star Wars Games?

Should EA Lose their Star Wars License

If you’ve been around our site for a while, you’ll know that we’ve written about quite a few anticipated Star Wars video games that were later canceled. Some were put to rest before they ever had the chance to be developed and others had us ready to purchase when they pulled the plug. One thing they all had in common: they left us disappointed. So, why does EA keep canceling Star Wars games? Well, it would seem they have different reasons for doing so. Since EA secured the publishing rights on Star Wars games from Disney, they have canceled at least three Star Wars games. The most recent one being the Battlefront spin-off. EA has given various reasons each time they cancel one of these anticipated games but the common thread seems to be timing. The latest Star Wars game, code-named “Viking” was rumored to be a Battlefront spin-off with…

Star Wars: Darkness Rising: The Threat Within – Chapter 2

Chapter 2 Han leaned against the door frame and watched as the Lady Luck glided toward the landing deck.  He straightened up as he noticed several jagged pieces of metal sticking out from under the ship.   “What have you gotten yourself into Lando?” Han muttered.   Lando saw Han watching the ship come down.  “I didn’t expect him to meet me at the landing pad,” Lando said.  The ship dipped a little then leveled out.  “Number two repulsor is shot,” he said.  Nien nodded and sighed.  When the ship touched down, he motioned Lando toward the back saying something to him.  Lando smiled.  “Yeah, you get the easy job, I have to explain this to Han and Leia.”  Han winced as the landing ramp descended with an audible screech of protesting metal.   He watched Lando come down the ramp.  ‘He’s looking old,’ Han thought then laughed.  Lando was only a few…

Star Wars: Darkness Rising: The Threat Within.

Author’s Note: I have been watching and reading Star Wars since I was 7. When Disney brought the Star Wars IP from George Lucas for more money that I could conceive of, I thought that we were in for some epic storytelling and stunning visuals. I was worried when Disney decided to say that the vast number of books and comics were not canon. Rogue One served to give me hope that they were still going to make good content. It was a good story that was set in a short time line that told the story of how the Rebel Alliance obtained the Death Star plans. The Force Awakens was vastly underwhelming from a storytelling point of view. The Last Jedi and The Rise of Skywalker only served to confirm my dislike of the way that Disney was treating the IP. I have also followed a number of blogs…

DARK JEDI – A Star Wars Fan Film

I have another interesting fan film for you today. This one is fairly new so you may have missed it. It was published back on December 13th by urbanamadei on YouTube. It features a popular YouTube Parkour artist and a Holly wood stuntwoman for intense action fight scenes that look and feel realistic. Dark Jedi – A Star Wars Fan-Film with Parkour YouTuber Urbanamadei and Hollywood Stuntwoman Marie Mouroum from Star Wars Rise of Skywalker. Made by Lorenz Hideyoshi Ruwwe. See why one viewer said, ” This lightsaber duel makes the Last Jedi look like 6 yr olds with broomsticks!!” Check it out for yourself here: The choreography is clearly the star of the show on this one. The acting can come off a bit cheesy throughout, but that’s almost standard in fan films and didn’t prevent me from enjoying the short. However, it’s the choreography that steals the show….

Jedi Fallen Order 2 Release Date Is Coming

And it may be sooner than you think. When EA relased Star Wars – Jedi: Fallen Order, they had a lot to prove. If you spend many hours (50+ hours) a week playing video games, then there’s a problem. But if you spend a few hours (5 hours max) a week playing video games, your academic performance shouldn’t be affected. As a student, you have a pile of different assignments and other tasks that come along with the education process. This workload usually leads to many students utilizing video games as a pass time; therefore, they become a part of the “2.5 billion video gamers from all over the world.” This leads to video games getting a bad rap as they are blamed on why a student cannot perform well. However, successful students know that organizing yourself is all you need to get good grades. What every student has to understand and implement is that there’s a time for everything, a time to play, and a time to study. There are two main…
