Learning to Play Texas Hold’Em Poker at The Top Poker Sites

There are many top-rated casino games that you can enjoy online, but none of them even come close to Texas Hold’Em Poker. This game is featured on all top poker sites like this website and millions of people go online to enjoy it each day. The reason why Texas Hold’Em is such a giant is that this game requires a lot of skill, not just luck. Most of the games at online casinos require far more luck than skill, with some of them even completely relying on luck.

Texas Hold’Em is a pretty complicated game that requires a lot of time and attention to master. With that thought in mind, we decided to share some of the basic stuff that you need to know before entering a poker room. Let’s check them out.

Skills Required

Like we mentioned before, most casino games require a lot more luck than skill. That is not the case with Texas Hold’Em Poker. You need to learn how to bluff and read the facial expressions of other players. Their facial expressions are usually the sign which gives them away and lets you know if they have a good or bad hand.

The experience will earn you a skill of predicting the cards and knowing when to call, raise, or fold. Having a bad hand can be a positive thing sometimes but it takes practice to perfect it. Patience and discipline are also major factors.

Hand Values

As you know, there are several card games and Texas Hold’Em Poker is among them. Each player on the table is dealt with two hands. The player must combine these cards with the 5 community cards that the dealer puts on the table, facing up.

The player earns a Pair when he gets two cards of the same rank. The same rule applies to 2 Pair – two pairs of the same rank. Three of Kind is earned if the player has any 3 same-ranked cards. Straight means that the player has 5 consecutive cards in multiple suits. On the other hand, a Flush means that the player has non-consecutive cards, but in the same suit.

Full House is a combination of 2 Pair and Three of a Kind. Four of a Kind means that the player four cards of the same rank. Straight Flush is the second-strongest value in Texas Hold’Em. This value is earned by having 5 consecutive cards in the same suit. Finally, Royal Flush is Ace to 10 in the same suit.
