Game Update 2.2 Delayed

Eric Musco just informed the us via the official swtor forums, that Game Update 2.2 is delayed until further notice. Apparently there are some last minute bug fixes that is giving them trouble. To clarify two points in the thread. Although I don’t have exact timing yet, Game Update 2.2 will not be tomorrow (6/11) at all. The maintenance is delayed past tomorrow. As for the specific bug. What we needed to fix were some critical bugs inside of the the new Nightmare Mode Operation, which would need to be fixed before the Update went live. Upon implementing those fixes the Game Update itself became unstable. That is what we are working through now. Hope that gives a bit of insight. -eric

SWTOR Lack of “Real” Game Updates

We’ve been writing here about Game Update 2.2 as well as the news that more features and additions are coming in the summer for SWTOR but there are many complaints coming in from players who are just not happy with the content BioWare is pushing out. The argument is that these “updates” don’t really contain any quality new game content and most consist of bug fixes and cosmetic changes here and there. In an article on Just Push Start, there is the argument that BioWare is not putting out any good, quality game updates and therefore, are disappointing their fans. Here’s a piece of that story: The release of SWTOR Game Update 2.1 a couple of weeks ago wasn’t well received by a lot of people due to the implementation of the appearance designer through the use of Cartel Coins. If you’re expecting a much better game update with 2.2…

Datamining the 2.2 PTS

Lots of info is now coming out about Game Update 2.2 and what we can all expect in the next update. Reddit user  swtor_miner has found some interesting info via a data mine that tells us a lot about what might be coming soon in the game. As always, don’t take data mines to heart because anything can change between now and when the game goes live. Some of the cool info mined from here is that the Rakghoul event is coming back! There are also some great new items such as: Crest of the Dread Master – This golden crest appears to have once belonged to a Dread Master, but its form is ancient and unfamiliar. A strange and unsettling power emanates from the cold, etched metal. Mounts Helix Hyperpod – Increases lateral translation rates by 110%! Titan Six Containment Mode – Increases movement speed by 110%. Represents the ultimate choice in…
