SWTOR 5.10 PTS Refresh #3 Operations Notes

Here is more changes to the Machine operations coming in game update 5.10. The patch is currently playable on the public test servers. Onward we go, brave testers! There’s a skip button for Nahut down now, as well as delicious 258 gear! The components are a little trickier, but I have confidence that you all can handle the execution complexity. As a warning: This is likely the last refresh where Tyth will be playable. We need to start pushing forward and picking at the later encounters, so earlier encounters are going to start becoming unpullable as we go forward. General: Tier 5 Legendary Gear (258) is now available from purchase from ED-5E L at the Odessen landing area. There is also a vendor selling 258 components. To try and ease the total run time of the GftM operation in non-master modes, the health of non-boss encounters have been reduced by…

SWTOR 5.10 PTS Refresh #2 Operations Notes

Here are the latest patch notes for the SWTOR Public test server. These patch notes mainly focus on operations: Build system gremlins do indeed seem to be firmly under control, therefore we’ll be able to get back to a much regular update cadence. Still, due to the lost time we’re going to be accelerating the pacing of stuff a bit (at least on the operations side of things) just to make extra sure we can get eyes on stuff with enough time to iterate/implement feedback. Tyth: Apologies for the inversion nonsense, that should be fixed now. Ditto for the questionably functional skip button, which should also be fixed now. Inversion’s pull is getting a threat multiplier to offset the DPS loss to make tanking a little more stable. You may still experience some token panic for the first GCD after a pull (when multiple people are pulled), but it should…

Here is the latest PTS patch notes for Star Wars: THe old Republic   5.10 PTS Refresh #1 (25th of October, 2018) | 10.25.2018, 08:21 PM First, sorry for the delay in getting a PTS refresh out to you all. The server gremlins came out in full force, conspiring to keep us apart… While their eventual defeat was inevitable –for love indeed conquers all –it doesn’t lessen our longing in the meanwhile. Second, thanks a ton to everyone who’s been hopping on the PTS. We’ve had a loooot of activity. Thanks especially to those of you who have hopped on to take a moment to run through Story / Veteran modes, as it’s arguably even more important that we get those adjustments correct! Alright. Onto the refresh notes: General: The Ossus Daily Area is now ready for PTS testing, and for the first time players will be able to access the area! *pokerface*Just…

Closed SWTOR PTS Applications are now open

The SWTOR team is now accepting applications for entry into the Closed PTS for 5.2 operations testing to guilds. Check it out: Hey folks, As we mentioned on the last Producer Live Stream, we are going to be putting Game Update 5.2 on PTS. For now, our plan is that the test server will be closed with the intention of opening up later on. I want to make sure that players have the opportunity to apply to get entry into this closed test, so let’s talk about how to do that. Here are the requirements: Being on the closed test server means signing an NDA. You must be willing to sign and abide by that agreement. You must be 18 years or older to be eligible. SWTOR PTS Update Notes – 4/6/2016

The SWTOR public test servers were updated yesterday. Here are the patch notes: General New Alliance Alert: Freedom Fight! Recruit Bowdaar by showing your prowess in the Eternal Championship. Eternal Championship Gungus Bogs: The Heralds of Zildrogs’ melee attacks no longer have a 70m maximum range, because that was rather silly. Lanos: Fixed a bug whereby Unstable Reprogrammed Skytroopers could retarget a companion if the skytrooper could not leap to its original target for over 60 seconds (due to it being in cover, for example). Lanos: Unstable Reprogrammed Skytroopers who are unable to leap to their target for 30s or more will now use their high-powered Snipe attack every 16s, down from 30s. Don’t just ignore them =) Nocturno & Drake Raven: Tweaked Drake Raven’s encounter mechanics such that when he is subjected to heavy DPS, he will try much harder to deploy at least one G0-ON Abductor squad to…

SWTOR: PTS Warzone and Arena Changelist

Odessen Warzone and Rishi Arena is going through some changes on the SWTOR Public test servers. Here are a list of what has been changed this time: Odessen Warzone Performed a small optimization pass on Odessen Warzone visuals. Designer Note: We are expecting a slight increase in client performance while in the Odessen Warzone with this update. The update included removing the VFX that plays your team’s color while in a Control Point area. We are still performing additional optimization passes but wanted to get this out into the wild to see how it played. Control Points are active for approximately 90 seconds, up from the previous 75 seconds. Designer Note: We found that players didn’t have enough time to react to changes during a round and that this would allow more time for attackers to remove defenders. In Round 1 only the three middle Control Points (Defense Cannon, Cantina,…
