More fun Star Wars news to come out of Comic-Con – three new Star Wars titles. The three titles will take place between “A New Hope” and “The Empire Strikes Back”, during the aftermath of the Death Star’s destruction. It will explore both the Rebel Alliance and the Galactic Empire stories. This new line of comics will come in January 2015, a good time for Marvel Entertainment as they have already revealed they will be releasing their first in a series of hardcover collections of the original comics. Hollywood Reporter has some details: The announcement was made at Marvel’s “Cup o’ Joe” panel at San Diego Comic-Con Saturday afternoon, and followed the January announcement that Marvel had been awarded the comic book license for the Disney property, as well as the news earlier this month of a series of hardcover collections of Marvel’s earlier Star Wars material. The three series announced were: Star…
Star Wars Battlefront: to Tie in or Not to Tie in With Episode VII?
Lately, there has been some speculation in regards to whether or not DICE’s much-hyped upcoming Star Wars: Battlefront – a title already sweating under the burden of the expectations of the community – will in any significant way be tied in to Episode VII, the upcoming movie of the Star Wars franchise, just as hotly expected, and probably even more pressured by outlandish fan expectations, and officials linked to the project have done a poor job at bringing any sort of clarity to the debate, to say the least. DICE’s Patrick Soderlund had the following to say about the release date of the game “Obviously there will be things in there that are somewhat tied to the new movie. I wouldn’t say that we have a particular tie to the movie. Now, obviously we would prefer to be close to the movie, but I wouldn’t say that we’re directly tied…
TOR TV: The Incredible Exploits of Captain Jirk!
The Daring Captain Jirk has been asked to investigate a Sith cult on the planet Athiss. This is when the fun really begins… This is an amazing silent film made from a SWTOR Flashpoint. You know how we feel about fan fiction and other projects but this is a unique one for sure. You remember those cool old silent movies from back in the day? Well, there’s a good chance you don’t actually remember them. I know they were before my time even. Still I know what they are and I’ve seen a couple myself. You’ve probably seen them on TV or in a movie theater preview if you’re too young to remember when they were actually the popular thing. This fun little SWTOR film was done in silent movie style from a flashpoint and we think it’s a lot of fun. Check it out for yourself!
Rumor: Possible Bounty Hunter Game Coming in the Future
Many fans were very disappointed to see the cancellation of Star Wars 1313, the bounty hunter game that many were looking forward to. However, it’s possible we might see another bounty hunter game to take its place in coming years. Of course 2016 is still a far way off and many things could change. Check out the video for more on this rumor. What are the chances we will see Star Wars Force Unleashed 3 gameplay trailer or Bounty Hunter game w/ Boba Fett on PS4, Xbox One and PC? Well, the answer may surprise you! 2016 is a year to pay attention to!”
Update on Project Revan
Project Revan is still going strong! Most of you will remember the updates we brought you not so long ago about Project Revan and the Kickstarter campaign that was going to help support the project. Project Revan is a fan film based off of, the science fiction novel, Star Wars: The Old Republic – Revan by Drew Karpyshyn, produced by diehard fans. It was fully funded on Kickstarter and the filming is underway now. However, you can still support the team and their project by making donations directly through their website. If you were a donator/supporter, you can keep up to date on what is happening with the project and the filming via their Facebook page and website. Steven Shulgach, Director and DP has an update on the status of the project: “We are making are way through the trials and tribulations of the film project with strength. We are…
UCF Jedi Knight vs Westboro Baptist Church
Here is a true Jedi doing good in the world. If you’re not familiar with this man in robes, he is known as the “UCF Jedi” and he made national news when he combated the Westboro Baptist Church at their demonstration at the University of Central Florida. The story says he dresses up as a Jedi and speaks out against hate and intolerance using the wise words of the Jedi Order. Here is a video of him doing just that against the protesters from Westboro but this wasn’t the only time he had done so. We already give him cool points for dressing up like a Jedi but doing so to spread messages of kindness and peace makes him all the more awesome. *Regardless of where you stand on moral and religious issues, WBC have a reputation of spreading hate and intolerance, picketing funerals of children and preaching their extreme ideologies at…
Now we can finally sit in a chair…
It took BioWare a while, but finally we get the emote all players have been waiting for in Star Wars: The old Republic – /chair – and guess what it makes you do… It makes you sit down in one of the many many chairs around the game. Together with this emote comes another emote : /sleep, that makes you… Yes you guessed it right. Both emotes are on the Public test servers right now, and don’t seem to need unlocking, you just automatically have them unlocked! It is an interesting way to allow players to sit in chairs without having to reprogram stuff. While it’s not the ideal solution… I like it. Check them both out in the video below: Since it’s a generic emote and you’re not actually sitting on a chair/couch, you also won’t ever get any closer than the lip of the seat due to clipping,…
Reverse Engineering with 20% Chance of Success
Here we have an interesting chart that attempts to explain the 20% chance of success from reverse engineering, something that many players seem to have a hard time understanding. The chance of success is per each RE. It technically does not change or grow with how many times you attempt. Some people think that a 20% chance of success means that by the time they do 5 REs, they should have a success. That’s not exactly how it works. What it actually means is that there is a 33% chance you’d get 5 consecutive failures and aa 21% chance you’d get 7 consecutive failures. Your chances for success do not increase with each time you RE, which most players agree is bogus. It even makes logical sense that you were learn from your mistakes and your chances would increase. But nope… RNG is either on your side, or you better start…
SWTOR Easter Egg? The secret of kolto
The Fanatical Swordsman has found something really cool that we had to share with you as well. It’s a really great SWTOR Easter Egg. From the author of the post: Recently, I saw a screenshot from the new Manaan content in the SWTOR patch coming up (thanks to Baffle on Twitter). If you’re still unsure of what you’re looking at, it’s lucky for us he is a chemist because he was able to realize: Kolto is caffeine! Ok gaming nerds, how awesome is that? Tell us, have you seen this before? Know of any other great Easter Eggs?
Looking Back a Decade Later: Star Wars Knights of the Old Republic
If you were a fan of KOTOR, this is something you will really want to check out. It’s a great “looking back” video that highlights some of the best things about Knights of the old Republic . It covers the legacy of this game that came out 1o years ago in a documentary style format. It’s really an absolutely great video for anyone who enjoys the game. It will bring in a great number of emotions and memories about the game if you played, even for a short time. “Some friends and I celebrate the new year and last year’s marking of the 10th anniversary since the release of my favorite game of all time. I meant to upload this 2 days ago, but unfortunately I was prevented from doing so by numerous technical difficulties. Consider this less a review and more a video diary expressing my gratitude for the…

These include looks at the new 3.75″ figures and mostly previously released/seen figures.
Star Wars Battlefront Not to Tie in to Episode VII
Since the announcement of the next Star Wars Battlefront game, many have been wondering if it will tie in to Episode VII and in what ways. We now have a new report Star Wars Underworld has this to say: Executive Vice President of EA Studios Patrick Soderlund recently spoke about how the game may or may not be connected the the upcoming film: “We’ve shown parts of the game to date. You know what were building is more rooted in the traditional Star Wars universe, not so much linked to the movie being made.” He continues, “We wanted to make a game that celebrates the history of Star Wars. We don’t have a particular tie to the movie, but obviously we would prefer to launch Battlefront sometime close to when the movie launches,” This is not a definite shut down of the idea but it looks like we won’t be seeing any maps, characters…
Obsidian Still Thinks About Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic III
Who would want to see Knights of the Old Republic III? We’re guessing most of our readers would be just as excited about that as we would be, although we’ve been left to think it will never happen. Or will it? Obsidian, developer of Knights of the Old Republic II: The Sith Lords admits that the idea of a third game in the franchise is something they do talk about often.

Timothy Zahn AMA has some interesting points on Canon and Lore
Reddit is known for its AMAs (ask me anything). These sessions can be fun and interesting, all depending on who is getting asked the questions. There was an interesting one recently with Timothy Zahn, Star Wars novelist and author of Blackcollar. While this AMA didn’t specifically address SWTOR, there were some very interesting points brought up, especially about story and lore and if you have not seen it yet, we suggest you head over and give it a read. Here are some snippets: Hey Mr. Zahn! HUGE fan of your work. A lot of my love for Star Wars stems from your work. But I have to ask, how do you feel about Lucasfilm declaring most expanded universe works (i.e. your works) as “non-canon”? I wasn’t going to address this topic. But since so many of you have asked: What the “non-canon” announcement by LFL means is that they aren’t…
Developer Blogs: The Story of SWTOR, 2014
Lead Writer, for Star Wars: The old Republic, Charles Boyd has posted a new blog post over at the official SWTOR Website. This time he talks about the game’s story and what we can expect to see in the upcomming game updates. Aparretnly the first chapter of the next major storyline is currently available via the Assault on Tython and Korriban Incursion flashpoints. The first chapter in our next major storyline is already available: Forged Alliances, Part I. Comprised of two flashpoints, Assault on Tython and Korriban Incursion, Part I will introduce you to some key new allies as well as the central mystery of the content yet to come. While you can always jump straight into these flashpoints with Group Finder whenever you’re looking for some action, the best way to experience the storyline is to find A7-M1 on Vaiken Spacedock or T3-G2 on Carrick Station—they’ll point you toward…
Can SWTOR Help You Land a Job?
Here’s an interesting topic to ponder. It’s one that I was discussing with some fellow gamer friends just a week or so ago. We were talking about how we are leadership members within our gaming community and how this experience translates to the “real world” and also how our real life experience helps us be better leaders in the games we play. It’s so common in gamers today but it’s not always a topic we hear people talk about. So leads us to another question: Can SWTOR help you land a job? We’ve heard of people putting World of Warcraft on their resumes. We’re not certain how that worked out for them but with how mainstream WoW has become, it’s not a surprise if it helped a bit if they were able to put the game-work connection in it. So why can’t SWTOR experience be the same? We believe it…
Old School Jedi Tanking- Does It Still Exist?
It isn’t very often that a moment in a video game catches us off guard again, makes us appreciate the true value of our game experiences and makes us want to tell others about the experience. But when they do happen, they usually remain in our memories for awhile. Such is the case with Massively writer Jef Reahard when he played with a “real Jedi” named Nayelii

Star Wars: The Old Republic Manaan INFO!
From the develop blog, we have some very interesting info about Manaan. The Shuuru Datalog details as follows: It is not a foolish endeavor to try and anticipate one’s future path, or even the path of an entire civilization. But it can be. If we do not first take stock of that which lies in our wake, we can never truly know how to negotiate the currents ahead. It is with this concern in mind that I indulge in this analysis of the ebb and flow of my dear home, Manaan. For a long time–longer than we have records for–the Infinite Empire ruled our world. They enslaved us until their eventual fall, and we Selkath vowed we would never be placed in servitude again. As offworld explorers eventually arrived on our world, they came to see our kolto as a vital resource in their contest for dominion over the galaxy….
