SWTOR Legacy Perks Guide

Star Wars: The Old Republic introduced players to the Legacy System when the Patch 1.2 went live. The Legacy system opened up a variety of upgrades on a global scale that you can unlock simply by playing more. For example, you can unlock a character’s race when you reach level 50 and it affects all characters on that particular account and server. This helped to make the game even more interesting. To unlock the Legacy System you need to complete Act one of your first characters storyline. This usually happens somewhere around levels 32 to 34. Once you accomplish this, you’ll be prompted to create a legacy or Star Wars Surname. You’ll also gain access to the Legacy UI, which is found on the top toolbar. This gives you access to your family tree and it will show you which class, race, and purchasable unlocks are available to you. The…

How To Get End Game Color Crystals in SWTOR

Do you enjoy collecting color crystals? Or are you looking for a certain color and you want to find the fast- track way to get it as quickly as possible without wasting a lot of your time? Lucky for you, we’ve got just what you need today. Dulfy brings us yet another fantastic guide. I would have loved to do one like this but she’s done a fantastic job so why mess with perfection? She’s put her hard work into this guide so I’m just going to pass it along to you for today’s “How To” of the week. Hey everyone, color crystals in SWTOR are popular vanity items ever since the game’s launch. With the arrival of patch 1.2, we saw the introduction of several new crystal colors (Black-Orange, Black-Purple) as well as upgrades for several existing colors to their endgame stats (+41 crit/power/endurance/expertise). Unfortunately, the method to obtain…

James Ohlen Explains SWTOR PvP Nerfs

What do you think about the current state of SWTOR PvP? I was just talking with a guild member about this earlier. The funny thing about SWTOR is that it began as a game where no one expected PvP to be a big aspect of it. Sure, some players would enjoy it but it would not be the main premise of playing. Yet now, there are many players who PvP every day and some who admit they only keep the game subscription because of the PvP. I think BioWare noticed fairly quickly they would need to rethink PvP a little and maybe even revamp the way they were doing things. After game update 1.2, we saw many changes and upgrades to SWTOR. All were meant for the better but in all honestly, there were some that just don’t seem to make sense or that cause us to question why BioWare…

The Guild sphere: Errant Venture

Today I had the chance to speak with Zainitopia from the republic guild Errant Venture. Errant venture plays on the server Space Slug  and is an all purpose republic guild, from the hardcore to the casual, being both accomplished in raiding and pvp. With over 100 members, we focus heavily in all aspects of gameplay – leveling(alts), warzones, flashpoints (hardmode), and of course raiding! Essentially they are looking to recruit raiders for patch 1.2. they used to have 3 x 8 mans running and actually got a server first kill on SOA NiM as well. Since then they have had to scale back to 1 group and have been raiding every week since. They are a casual group that loves to raid (only 2 nights). At one point they were very well respected in PVP as well.  Although the emphasis for recruiting is for raiding, they take all gameplays into the guild, whether that…

The Guild sphere: Army of Yonuss

This week I sat down with Jono from “Army of Yonuss”, for a quick question and answer session about The guild.  Army of Yonuss plays  SITH on the Tarro Blood server, and currently recruiting. Check out the interview below, while you are downloading patch 1.2 🙂 Where did your guilds name come from? Our guild is named after the username our good friend used to use for every one of his RPG characters, Yonuss. He passed away just before TOR was released, but was very active in beta. He had been planning to co-found the guild with us for months, so when he passed away we decided it would be a nice way to honor him. Can you give me a quick 2-3 sentance description of your guild? Army of Yonuss is laid back and open to members of all sorts, however we are still very organized. We run weekly…

Husband how to get back together with your ex

With patch 1.2 not far off, everyone is preparing for what changes this might be to their played class. For the Jedi Guardian, a lot of changing are incoming. Most, however, are not aimed at the Defense Guardian. A few key changes are on the horizon that may help the Guardian, as a whole, in the long run, including a brand new ability. Relevant 1.2 Patch Notes: Added Focused Defense, a new ability that allows the Guardian to spend Focus to lower threat. While active, one point of Focus is spent each time damage is taken to heal the Guardian for a small amount. This ability is usable while stunned and is not limited by the global cool down. Defense Blade Barrier is now located in Tier 4 of the skill tree. Blade Storm no longer consumes stacks of Courage while the “Momentum” buff is active. Command no longer…

SWTOR Trooper Vanguard PVP Build

SWTOR Trooper Vanguard PVP Build To Help You In Warzones!

Today we have another build from www.swtorsavior.com and this will probably be one of the last ones until we update them all for the 1.2 patch. This build is for the Trooper Vanguard and this actual class makes for a good Tank/DPS player on the warzone. The most effective way to play is to lure enemies to attack you taking the attention from the healers and the DPS and then ideally the heavy hitters will finish them off. So for all intents and purposes this class makes a good support class on the warzones. If you have no idea how your build should look then here is a level 10-50 build you can use: SWTOR Trooper Vanguard PVP Build: A couple of things to note with this build and how to use it: You should use Storm to closer the distance between you and the enemy and then follow it with…

Here’s a great video with some coverage from Novare Coast PvP. Unless you speak German, you won’t be able to understand what is being said but it’s a fantastic video, regardless. 12 minutes long, it gives a lot of insight into gameplay and the new Warzone. Novare Coast New Medals and More Now if you’re looking for more information about the new medals (my guild was), here is a picture that gives you a lot of information. My guild is all about PvP so I am happy to see this and can’t wait for Patch 1.2. Are you ready for 1.2 and Novare Coast? Guardian Angel: Statting and Itemization

So far, with the Jedi Guardian we’ve only covered the very basics, including leveling, builds, rotations, and tactics. Now it’s time for itemization. Note that for the current build, 1.1.x, end game itemization is greatly limited by the amount of gear available from the tier system. There is only one tank set for Tionese, Columi, and Rakata gear, as well as Centurian, Champion, and Battlemaster gear. Though you may not be able to itemize as you choose now, familiarity with the system and how you can manipulate it will help you for later builds, such as the upcoming 1.2 patch. The only stat I will not cover in this article is armor, which is a stat that you have virtually no control over. We will start with the most basic stats. Strength and Endurance: As far as primary stats go, even in 1.2, your ability to manipulate these will be…

SWTOR Guild Summit Economy/Crew Skills Discussion

Economy and crew skills were one discussion panel I waspersonally interested in. This is probably because one of the things I lovemost about playing MMOs is playing the economy and making money/credits. I likewatching the numbers grow. It’s a weird fascination I have… to each his own, right? So anyway, there were some pretty useful things to come outof this panel at the Summit. First, they said the economy is doing very welldespite the hard to use Galactic Trade Network (GTN). We could all agree thatcould use a little more work. This panel was very much about stats and figures so I lovedit (others seemed to be falling asleep during it- but then again, it was a longday). Here are some highlights: Crewskill distribution: BioChem is not the most used skill – archeology andscavenging skill are most skilled. most popular crafting skill is artificefollowed by BioChem. Underworld trading dominates mission skills…

SWTOR Subs Stabilize at 1.7 Million

If you’re wondering how many people are actively still playing SWTOR, then recent numbers will interest you. While it’s a been a great month for BioWare with the launch of Mass Effect 3 and the continued success of SWTOR, the numbers show that SWTOR subscriptions have stabilized at 1.7 million. Massively reports: It’s also worth noting that, according to EA’s John Riccitello, the “vast majority” of these active subscribers have already used their 30-day trials, which means most of those 1.7 million subscribers are shelling out $15 per month to play the game. It’ll be interesting to see how these numbers change (or don’t) in the coming months, but for the time being The Old Republic seems to be doing BioWare proud. After the recently released news about patch 1.2 and Game Update 2 for SWTOR, I’m expecting we will see those numbers increase more. There is also the tell-a-friend…

Intergalactic Intel: Operations

“Drop group,” Niggles whispered me. At this point in our relationship I learned that if Niggles requested something, it was usually for my benefit. An invite message promped from Niggles a few seconds later. “I’m not ready for this.” I whispered back. “Don’t worry Zexu. This is an easy operation.”  Welcome back to another installment of Intergalactic Intel! My apologies for being so late on this article, but you get two today! I’m reporting from the wonderful San Francisco, as I attend GDC. Without further ado let’s get down to this week’s topic. Operations. Operations are what we call raids here in SWTOR. You can complete them with eight or sixteen people. In addition to this you have normal mode, hard mode and nightmare modes to attempt to complete. Each level providing a new challenge of difficulty and a new amount of loot. The team I ran with this week…

Crafting Changes Live on Test Server

Developer commentary on crafting changes that just went live on the test server, as well as hints at what to expect from patch 1.2 can now be found on the forums. Georg Zoeller popped in to explain a few things about crafting, upcoming changes to the crafting systems and more. I wanted to drop some notes on the changes made to the BioChem profession in the patch (1.1.2) that just went onto the Public Test Server, how they fit in the big picture and how we are proceeding forward with crafting professions in endgame in general. Zoeller adds: It is our intention to gradually, over multiple patches, reduce the impact of situational consumables on endgame combat resolution and shift the factors which determine the outcome of combat more towards personal skill. As part of this effort, specifically for PvP, we are also working on changes that will reduce the gear…

LEGO Star Wars III: The Clone Wars game logo with LEGO and Star Wars branding

LEGO Star Wars 3: The Clone Wars – Modern Overhaul Mod Brings the Game to the 2020s

Let’s be real—LEGO Star Wars III: The Clone Wars was always a charming and surprisingly deep entry in the LEGO game saga. It had ambitious level design, full-on battles with armies of droids, and that classic LEGO humor baked into every cutscene. But over a decade later, some of that polish has started to wear off. The resolution feels fuzzy, lighting is a bit flat, and animations… well, they’ve aged like week-old blue milk. Enter the LSW3 Modern Overhaul Mod, a comprehensive visual and performance upgrade that reworks the entire game to feel, look, and play like a much more modern release. This isn’t just a texture swap or a lighting tweak—this is a full-on glow-up that keeps the game’s heart intact while bringing it up to speed with modern expectations. What Is the LSW3 Modern Overhaul Mod? The LSW3 Modern Overhaul Mod is a lovingly crafted update designed to…

Star Wars Outlaws Hotfix 6.1: No More Vanishing Contracts or Glitchy Saves (Mostly)

Nothing disrupts the criminal underworld like a glitchy contract. Ubisoft just rolled out Hotfix 6.1 for Star Wars Outlaws, and while it’s not the flashiest update in the galaxy, it’s a much-needed patch for players tired of watching job offers mysteriously vanish or missions fail just because they dared to save the game. The nerve, right? If your galactic hustle’s been stalled by unreliable brokers and contracts that collapse faster than a stormtrooper’s aim under pressure, this update is aimed squarely at you. Let’s break it down. Contract Woes, Be Gone Hotfix 6.1 goes straight to the heart of a recurring issue: jobs offered by certain brokers would become mysteriously unavailable after a while. One minute you’re gearing up to smuggle spice or intercept a shady deal, the next… crickets. Ubisoft has now stabilized the system so these contracts don’t suddenly ghost you mid-playthrough. This should make the Outer Rim…
