Brace yourselves, Holotable heroes—this one’s spicy. The Star Wars: Galaxy of Heroes update for August 6, 2025 is live, and it’s packed tighter than a Jabba vault. We’ve got new content, a marquee character, a sneakily titled “Secret!!!!”, some long-requested QoL fixes, and the return of Rose (sort of). Let’s break it all down like a smuggler sorting spice by value.
Brutus Is Here—and He’s Not Just a Pretty Snout
The biggest headline is, of course, BRUTUS! The Shistavanen pirate attacker introduced in the latest marquee event is now wreaking havoc with Profit stacking, scattershot synergy, and an aggressive thirst for turn meter control.
If you missed the full kit reveal (and you’re serious about Territory Wars), go read that first—Brutus is a must-have for Hondo-centric pirate comps and an all-around menace in the Order 66 Raid meta.
Pirate Era Battle & A Mysterious “Secret!!!!”
Let’s talk about two more cryptically dropped items in the update log:
- Pirate Era Battle – Not much detail here, but it’s clearly building off the growing Pirate synergy. Expect it to either feature Brutus and Hondo or tie into future Galactic Challenges, raid missions, or marquee event chapters.
- Secret!!!! – No, that’s not a typo. It’s literally listed in all caps with four exclamations. Datamined content? Surprise marquee? Or just someone at CG having a little fun on a Monday? Either way, keep your eyes on the cantina floor.
Temple Guard Goes Farmable
Time to grind! Temple Guard shards are now farmable on Fleet Battles 3-B (Hard).
For anyone looking to buff their Jedi or Inquisitor counters, this is a big move. Combine it with some of the recent updates to Ezra and Jocasta Nu, and it’s clear CG is ramping up synergy in underused Light Side corners.
Captain Enoch Is Accelerated
Yep, Captain Enoch is now Accelerated, which means double drops and much faster unlocking for your Imperial Remnant builds. If you’re chasing synergy between Enoch, Thrawn, and the newly fixed Baylan (we’ll get to that), this is your window to build.
Bugs, Buffs, and Bizarre Fix Notes
CG really put the dev droids to work this time. Here’s a fast rundown of the noteworthy bug fixes and balance tweaks from this patch:
Character Fixes
- Scorch had turn meter bugs and dispel issues. Both are gone now.
- Maz Kanata‘s Profit mechanics were clarified and corrected.
- Jocasta Nu’s “Jedi Archivist” description now matches how it actually functions.
- Rose is now the proper portrait again (she reclaimed her ship from Resistance Trooper).
- Quiggold‘s Profit mechanic was out of sync—it’s now properly aligned.
- Hondo had his tag order updated. Consistency matters—even to pirates.
- Ezra was losing Critical Damage when upgrading his Unique. That’s been patched, and a typo in his description was fixed too.
- Baylan was inflicting Armor Shred on Arc Trooper’s Blaster Turret in GAC. Not anymore.
Datacron Fixes
- DoT effects were sometimes getting resisted—this has been cleaned up.
- Jedi weren’t gaining Grandmaster’s Lesson when Hermit Yoda triggered it. Now they do.
- Suppression and Tenacity gain were querying incorrect values—those calculations have been corrected.
Battle Audio & Visual Bugs
- Galactic Legend Luke’s Tier 1, Battle 2 now properly plays Boba Fett’s audio during the cinematic outro. Small win for immersion.
- CX-2’s Omicron no longer drops its 100% Max Health buff when Appo flees.
Hutt Cartel Contract Visual Glitch
- Some non-tagged Hutt Cartel units were appearing to contribute to Jabba’s contract when they shouldn’t. Fixed.
Other Fixes of Note
- Cere’s “Determined Assault” now counts summoned turns properly.
- Third Sister won’t Deathmark Master Qui-Gon from ally turn confusion anymore.
- Quiggold was also removing General Skywalker’s locked Taunt with his Basic. That loophole’s closed.
Devs Have Jokes, Too
The final fix note is worth quoting directly:
“Which designer wrote the best fix note?”
Touché, CG. Credit where it’s due—this was a meaty, feature-rich patch with just enough snark and Easter eggs to keep players guessing.
Why This Update Matters
It’s not just about Brutus (though he’s the spicy new toy). It’s about momentum.
We’re seeing:
- Continued Pirate support
- Consistent patching and bug clean-up
- More farmable characters
- Accelerated legacy units for easier access
- Hilarious patch note flavor that actually makes you want to read them
For a live-service Star Wars game approaching a decade of content, that’s a solid sign of life. Whether you’re chasing meta in esports-style GAC or just gambling with Datacron rolls like you’re in a cantina, this patch has something for everyone.
