Star Wars Zero Company may have just become a lot more real.
The upcoming Clone Wars-era tactics game is already set to appear at Summer Game Fest with a new gameplay trailer, but now a possible release date may have leaked ahead of the showcase.
According to VGC’s report on the leaked Star Wars Zero Company release date, Dealabs insider billbil-kun claims the game is currently planned for August 27, 2026 on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.
Important disclaimer before anyone starts polishing clone armor: EA has not officially confirmed that date.
The official Star Wars Zero Company page still lists the game as “Coming 2026.”
The Timing Is Very Convenient
The timing is what makes this interesting.
EA has already confirmed that a new Star Wars Zero Company gameplay trailer will be shown during Summer Game Fest on June 5. We covered that announcement in our earlier article on the Zero Company gameplay trailer coming at Summer Game Fest, and the big question was simple: would this be a proper gameplay reveal, or just another carefully edited mood piece?
If the August 27 date is real, the trailer suddenly carries much more weight.
This would not be some distant “see you next year” project. It would be a game potentially arriving in just a few months.
That changes the whole conversation.
Star Wars Tactics Could Be the Fresh Angle Fans Need
Zero Company is being developed by Bit Reactor in collaboration with Respawn Entertainment and Lucasfilm Games. It is a single-player, turn-based tactics game set during the twilight of the Clone Wars, following Hawks, a former Republic officer leading an unconventional squad of operatives.
In other words, this is not another Jedi action game.
It is Star Wars built around squads, positioning, tactical choices, and the kind of battlefield panic where one bad move can ruin your entire plan. Lovely. Painful. Potentially brilliant.
That makes Zero Company one of the more interesting upcoming entries in the complete history of Star Wars games, especially because it is trying a genre Star Wars has not fully owned in the modern era.
Wait for the Trailer
For now, the August 27 date should stay in the rumour bucket.
But if Summer Game Fest confirms it, Star Wars Zero Company immediately becomes one of the biggest Star Wars gaming stories of the summer.
A release date leak is exciting.
Now the gameplay has to prove the squad is worth assembling.
