Hey folks,As many of you saw from our social media post over the weekend, we are going to be adding Tier 4 gear and another 100 Command Ranks to Galactic Command in Game Update 5.2. I wanted to let you know that there is quite a bit more to it than just another Tier! Here are some other notes: Tier 4 Command Crates are going to work a bit differently than Tier 1-3. Tait started out as a Social Media Representative back when the game was first lunched, and is now ending his Career in BioWare as Assistant Producer for Star Wars the old republic. Below is the new form the official forums: Original source: http://www.swtor.com/community/showthread.php?p=9236031#edit9236031 Hey everyone, There have been two forum posts in my time at BioWare that have been difficult to write: my introduction, and this one. For those who prefer brevity, I won’t bury the lead: February will be my final month on the SWTOR team and, in fact, with BioWare. I have had an amazing few years here, but it is time to sail different seas. I will go ahead and nip a few things in the bud because I know they will come up: I haven’t been fired,…
SWTOR Bonus (C)XP is 350% instead of 250%
BioWare have a small present for us today. Instead of a 205% XP bonus, the SWTOR devs decided to up the CXP bonus to 350% until patch 5.1.2. Update to the 250% CXP Event. | 02.07.2017, 10:09 AM Hey folks, The math savvy among you are going to notice the current CXP boost in the game for the event is operating at 350% instead of 250% as we originally stated. Since the Mission buffs are coming in 5.1.2 we decided to make the boost even larger until then! Since this was a last minute change, the in-game tooltip will still state 250% but the bonus is in fact 350%. Note that XP and Requisition are still 250%. Get in there and enjoy your crazy CXP bonus. -eric

SWTOR Bolster Changes in Game Update 5.1
Eric Musco took on the official forums to clarify the intentions regarding the bolster changes that came with patch 5.1 Bolster Changes in Game Update 5.1 | 01.25.2017, 11:30 PM Hey folks, For those unaware, in Game Update 5.1 we made the following change: Bolster now improves players up to 232 Item Rating (down from 250). This change raised quite a few questions from the PvP community as to why we made the change. I spoke with the team about it and I want to start by confirming that this change is intended, let’s talk about why! When we released Game Update 5.0, Bolster was incorrectly set to Item Rating 250. The goal of Bolster is that it gives a player a minimum bar of power. That is so that they can enter PvP and not be too far behind someone who is at maximum gear, but it allows them…

SWTOR Season 7 Update
Eric Musco too on the official forums to explain why it took the SWTOR Developers so damn long to release the Top 96 pvp titles for Season 7. Season 7 Update | 01.13.2017, 02:46 PM Hey folks, Let’s talk about Season 7. We have just finished our full investigation of Season 7 and a few things have happened. All users who were found to be win-trading, hacking, botting, etc. have had their Season 7 ratings wiped out on all of their characters, they have been removed from the leaderboards, and appropriate ToS action has been levied against their account. With those actions being taken, we have gone ahead and sent the top 96 titles to the top performers of Season 7, so be sure to check your mailbox. We wanted to explain a little bit about why this process delayed the Season 7 rewards. In past seasons we started to…

SWTOR: Changes to Gearing through Galactic Command
The SWTOR Devs over at BioWare is doing some gearing changes to Galactic Command with the upcoming patch 5.1. More info will be released on SWTOR livestream on Thursday: Changes to Gearing through Galactic Command | 12.13.2016, 10:06 AM Hey folks, Please keep all of your feedback coming on Command Crates, Command XP, and Galactic Command. The team is always looking over your feedback and looking for ways we can improve the system! We have been reading everything you sent our way, and there are couple of stand-out points (this is by no means everything): There needs to be a way to work towards a specific slot of gear to fill in gaps (especially set bonuses) for people who are unlucky with Command Crates. Gearing your other characters is too grindy. With this in mind, the team has some important changes planned for Game Update 5.1 coming next month to…
BioWare Interview and SWTOR Knights of the Eternal Throne
We’ve been seeing some changes to SWTOR, especially since last year when the developers shifted the focus of the game. They decided to boost the single-player aspects of the game and while there were some players who leaned more toward the MMORPG aspect who didn’t like this, there are many more who love the story and the single-player elements. In short, they’re doing what works for them and many fans and Knights of the Fallen Empire was a clear example of that. But now we have SWTOR Knights of the Eternal Throne. Is the focus still on single-player elements? Why can’t a game be both great for single player and great for multi-player? Long time World of Warcraft players will attest that game got it right. There’s something for everyone and you don’t need to invest any time in multiplayer aspects of the game if it’s not your thing, but still…
