KOTOR Remake Could Finally Get a New Trailer Soon, But Keep the Hype in Carbonite

The Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic remake might finally be preparing to show itself again.

A new report claims the long-silent KOTOR remake could receive a fresh reveal before the end of 2026, though the same chatter also leaves room for that reveal to slip into early 2027. The claim comes from 100% Star Wars, with several gaming outlets now picking up the report as another sign that Saber’s remake may be moving toward public reintroduction.

That is not an official Lucasfilm announcement. It is not a confirmed trailer date. It is not a PlayStation showcase listing. It is not The Game Awards suddenly rolling out a red carpet for Revan.

But after years of silence, even a possible re-reveal is enough to wake up the Old Republic crowd.

The KOTOR Remake Has Been Quiet for Years

The remake was first announced at the PlayStation Showcase in 2021, and since then, official updates have been painfully rare. Outside of the original teaser, the project has largely lived in reports, rumors, development questions, and occasional reassurance that it still exists.
