The first in a series of Galactic Stronghold cartel packs have arrived… with more items AND they’re even cheaper than they used to be. With decorations now included in these packs, can Charlie find something worth keeping? We love these videos and articles where people open their packs for us and show us what they get. It’s a lot of fun getting caught up in the opening, hoping they will find something rare or at very least, some cool and useful stuff so the purchase is not unfounded. In addition to being fun to watch (although he’s slow), there is also a chance to win some packs for yourself so check it out and find out how. The verdict from this and prior experiences? Don’t open packs if you are looking for something specific unless you are planning to open 50+ of them. So we have the opening of 24…

TOR TV: SWTOR Warzone Commendation Decorations
SWTORrista posted a bunch of youtube videos showing all the new Star Wars: The old Republic: Galactic Stronghold decorations obtainable from Warzone Commendation. So instead of the one video we normally posted in this segment, we have the pleasure of posting 9. All of them cost 200 Warzone Commendations, except for the Hypergate Ring which is 1,000. Decorations are shared along your whole legacy, so you can buy Imperial decorations on your imperial toon and see/use them with your Republic character on Coruscant! Just don’t let the senators see your Imperial banners from your giant bay windows… The guards are not intractable. Enjoy!
TOR TV: The Incredible Exploits of Captain Jirk!
The Daring Captain Jirk has been asked to investigate a Sith cult on the planet Athiss. This is when the fun really begins… This is an amazing silent film made from a SWTOR Flashpoint. You know how we feel about fan fiction and other projects but this is a unique one for sure. You remember those cool old silent movies from back in the day? Well, there’s a good chance you don’t actually remember them. I know they were before my time even. Still I know what they are and I’ve seen a couple myself. You’ve probably seen them on TV or in a movie theater preview if you’re too young to remember when they were actually the popular thing. This fun little SWTOR film was done in silent movie style from a flashpoint and we think it’s a lot of fun. Check it out for yourself!
TOR TV: “Wrath” – Sith Warrior Trailer
OSWguild brings us an excellent video: “Wrath” – Sith Warrior Trailer. It’s a really dynamic, exciting trailer that will get you excited to want to see the entire series. Old fans of SWTOR might even feel inspired to come back and play again after watching this. OSWGuild say they are in this to have fun, so they want to make videos that are fun. We think they’ve more than hit the mark with this masterpiece. They say it took them about 15 hours total to create the trailer. They have many more videos on their channel so be sure to check it out after you watch the one below. The Empire has always been plagued with the Sith’s inability to work together, but the problem has been exacerbated since the disappearance of the Emperor. Tamarra will have to tread carefully as she works her way up the Sith ranks; although, her journey…
TOR TV: The Five Rules of Sentinel
Ever party up with a noob Sentinel? How frustrating is it to do a run with someone who doesn’t seem to know what they are doing in the game or with their class? It happens to all of us. You can get mad or rage, or you can get a good laugh out of it. Everyone’s gotta learn somehow, right? We love this video from Outbreak Guild and have to pass it on to you. The next time you have a bad sentinel in your group, consider sending them this video: The Five Rules of Sentinel Rule 1: Always engage boss fights before the tank. Rule 2: If you die, remember to blame the healer. It’s always their fault. We don’t want to ruin it for you so check out the video for yourself with the rest of the rules. But let me tell you, that 3, 4, and 5…

TOR TV: Short and Simple: Draxus 16 man Nightmare
Are you looking for a great guide to help you beat Draxus 16 man on Nightmare mode? Well, this is probably not it but it’s darned funny to watch anyway. In just 1 minute and 36 seconds, you will learn all you need to know … sort of. Actually, we think all guides should be done exactly like this. “Dread Fortress 16 man Nightmare, Gate Commander Draxus guide. Did you get all that?”
TOR TV: It’s Not Unusual To Be Feared By Everyone
Jedi Master Carlton Banks had has great influence over Dread Master Calphayus… There is not hope for the Empire! Jump on it! This video is made with the fresh Emote from the Space Jockey’s Starfighter Pack if anyone was wondering. The dancer is wearing: Crest Of The Dread Master (Head Piece) from Hateful Entity. Battlemaster Force-master Gear (only from GTN or crafter now) Using the Covert Waist Energy Armour for the belt (Cartel Item)

TOR TV: PTS 2.7 stuff ( Warning: Spoilers)
SWTOR Patch 2.7 is available on the public test servers now, and video footage is coming in. These videos have tons of spoilers, so watch this on your own risk. The videos below include everything from flashpoint playthrough, rare loot drops to pre-chat with Theron Shan. I played both Republic Variants earlier. They were more challenging than KDY and Czerka, but not that much more. Both flashpoints featured heavily demolished versions of the starter planet. Korriban especially featured some areas where the path through the rubble wasn’t immediately clear. The only difference is the story and npc skins though. Lana Beniko was definitely more intriguing to me than Theron. Very interesting to see a story like this from both sides. Excited to see where it’s going. Korriban Incursion, Empire Theron Shan Patch 2.7 PTS – Assault on Tython (Imp) Assault on Tython Full Run [Solo Marauder] Assault on Tython & Korriban Incursion…
TOR TV: Darth Malgus Solo
Solo kill Darth Malgus The False Emperor Flashpoint in SWTOR. This is really, really cool. We know a lot of people have tried to solo this fight and there have been players around the forums saying they did it but being able to see it on video gives the justifiable proof- and it’s just fun to watch. It’s an epic fight, a lot of fun and only possible because Vex’xus was at max rated gear and his level was 55. We think it’s pretty awesome to watch though. Do you have any videos of this kind of thing? Or do you have a favorite YouTube Channel or player that you love to watch gameplay videos or spotlights from? Tell us about it so we can share with all our readers!
TOR TV: Dread Fortress 2manned/3manned
We love bringing you stories of players doing cool and interesting things, guild events, server feats and other fun things from SWTOR. So here is a story from Aredun – Titans of The Red Eclipse EU. And it’s not enough just to tell us when you 2 man or 3 man Nightmare Modes. We want to see videos! So of course, that’s what they did. He originally shared it in the SWTOR forums. “In the long wait for nightmare modes we all find our own ways to stay entertained, undermanning story modes is ours This time its Brontes & co in Dread Fortress turn! Here are the videos:” And here you can see the videos yourself: Nefra (2manned) Draxus (3manned) Grob’thok (2manned) Corruptor Zero (3manned) Brontes (3manned) See more cool videos at his YouTube channel here.
TOR TV: Opening 24x Galactic Ace’s Starfighter Packs
Remember that video with the guy opening 24x Dogfighter’s Starfighter Packs? Well, the guy have done it again. This time he opens 24x Galactic Ace’s Starfighter Packs. What goodies will Kranitoko find inside the Galactic Ace’s packs? Check it out in the video below: If you are interested in the new emotes and items found in this new Cartel Pack. Dulfy got your covered. Check out her latest videos showing All emotes and moods from Galactic Ace’s Starfighter Pack <i
TOR TV: Body floating outside republic fleet
Have you ever noticed that there is a body floating outside the republic fleet? A morbid easter egg in Star Wars: The Old Republic. I saw this first time back in beta, in the same spot, but I could have SWORN it was C2-N2. Wishful thinking, I suppose. As someone who collected frozen corpses in EVE Online, I feel a desperate need to scoop that. I was always wondering why the game told me i couldn’t use my escape pod right now, that must have been the player that discovered this bug on accident while looking for the john.
TOR TV: Opening 24x Dogfighter’s Starfighter Packs
KranitokoGames made an interesting experiment. Basically he purchased a hypercrate of the new Starfighter Packs released in Patch 2.5.2. and filmed what goodies he found inside? When I clicked the video, I figured there was no way I would watch the whole 20 mins. I skipped him running around Tatooine, but thoroughly enjoyed watching him get giddy over the pack items. Seeing previews like we posted earlier today is nice, but it’s always nice to see exactly how many cool things (and lame things) you would get in a single hypercrate. Check it out below:
TOR TV: Team Poison (8 Lethality Agents)
So Tauntauns had this really stupid idea to run 8 lethality agents and this is the result. I don’t think I’ve ever laughed as hard about SWTOR as I did when I watched this – the DoT’s and the 8-person Orbital Strikes were epic In total there were up to 16 dots on one person at any point. The 8 simultaneous orbital strikes… Holy shit. I wanna see 8 smashers next. I would also love to see the team go up against a 8 man team of shadows! It would be epic! Team Poison: Psikhotic Double’O (Flexy) Nekrona (Nekron) Galdor (Jayblaze) Catspit (Vullesh) Luigii Nezlok Markeen Music- 1. Toxic by Britany Spears 2. Poison by Bell Biv Devoe 3. Poison by Alice Cooper
TOR TV: Scoundrel PvP Montage
This is Kalamitis third installment of Scoundrel PvP Montage. Scoundrel PvP is extremely fun and I’m surprised that people are overlooking and don’t pick it up. I asked him why he use back blast way too early after shoot first, and he answered: Good catch! When I’m playing PvE, I use exactly that rotation. While I’m 1v1 during warzones, most of the other classes outsustain me, either because of tankiness (for example a Juggernaut) or because of them having a lot of CC and healing (Sorcerer). That means, I have to burst them down during my stun lock and before they have the chance to fight me back. When I reopen the fight after I have used dissapearing act, I want to finish my opponent, I use Shoot First followed by Back Blast, for a quick 6-9k damage. Also, on PvP it’s not easy to get behind them (they don’t…
TOR TV: Marauder 2.5 Mill. Damage – Novare Coast
This is a scoreboard wet dream in general — deathmatch at the south bunker literally from start to finish. 2 others besides OP cracked 2 million damage, 3 healers hit 3 million. Multipul healers keeping everyone alive, and neither side capping 2 turrets for about 15 min. Wish I was part of this game. Skyrush – Marauder 2.5 Mill. Damage Race – Novare Coast: SWTOR – PvP (Rage) 2.3. Ft, Rázè Bleezár and Evilsmiter. 30 min Long Warzone where for first time I activated my hidden Tunnelvison view i haven’t used for 4 years *cough* as the video says u do not need to watch this if hate something like this, I also increased the speed of the video to not have this too long and to say it right away its only my personal record and also holds to top 5 Dmg In ToFN in PvP, I think there…
TOR TV: Best emote ever to hit Star Wars: The Old Republic
Youtube user crabby654 made this small videos showing what he think is the best emote ever to hit Star Wars: The Old Republic. Mixing it up with Haddaway – What is love, I kind of understand were he is coming from. All he needs is some guy next to him that tips his hat…. like this. And then yell out “EMILIOOOOOOOOOOOOOO”. Check it out:
TOR TV: Makeb Endurance Datacron, just say no
Here is a little tale of a SWTOR Player trying to get the endurance Datacon on Mekeb: Actually it’s a nightmare first time but once you know the way it’s easy, you just have to be careful and not rush it. First time I failed 10 times or so, now for the alts I get it on first or second try and it’s actually fun to do. Best thing is when you do it in group and watch the others fall. If you haven’t found them all yet, we have a comprehensive datacron list here. I suggest getting most of them as you level, just because I find it easier, personally. However, there are a few that you’ll have to make a trip back during the planet’s bonus series or later. Nar Shaddaa has some in the bonus area and can be a pain to get at during your first…
TOR TV: Imperial Agent sings “Get Lucky”
nice video ; wrong location … s/b in axil park where Lucky is. I can’t hear that song without thinking of that giant monster. Yikes. “we’re up on night to get Lucky” now makes different sense hurh:) If you notice… every dance/music emote is set to the same tempo and time sig of the vast majority of pop songs…. So almost no matter what pop song you put in, it should sync up. IE: about 90+% of pop songs are 4/4 and close to 118 bpm. So, have fun mixing it up.
TOR TV: Heal to Full
The creator of Smash Bomb, and Baby Got Bubble bring you “Just Heal to Full“, a SWTOR parody of James Blunt’s “You’re Beautiful”. I you don’t get this song, here is some background: In the top 3 answers that the developer’s gave sorcerors/sages, in an answer to dps complaints and questions regarding if they would be buffed, the developers told them 2 things: 1) Sorcs are an “easy to learn, hard to master class” and everyone should just “be better” instead of giving them buffs. (Despite the devs actually being pretty horrible at the game and not big on PvP) 2) Since sorceror’s possessed healing abilities they should stay the lowest tier dps, and that they could “heal to full” so they actually had an edge on the competition. (Which the sorc community considers stupid because you can’t heal to full if you’re being attacked as a dps sage and…
TOR TV: Tundra Tauntaun (Black Beauty Parody)
Here is another video from ResidentPenguin. If you don’t know who he is, he is the guy who gave us He-Man,Tribute to the relaxed Jumpsuit and lately Treek is gothams reckoning. This time he is here with a Black Beauty Parody. I remember the repeats of this show in the early 90’s on a Sunday morning. Music always plays in my head when I’m riding my Tauntaun in game, so this is excellent. I really love the part where he aggroed the Territorial Tauntauns to make them run after him. Great stuff. Check it out below:
TOR TV: Treek is gothams reckoning
Here is something that had to be done. A Swtor/ Batman Parody. I’m so glad the idea of the Bane Ewok outfit has now been planted in my head. She’s pretty hard core in a fight too… I didn’t see my first shiny metal god until I was already a man. No one cared who I was until I got rid of the cute. You think the forest is your ally?! …when it is done…when your fleet is ashes…then you have my permission to yubyub. I Laughed out loud at work, everyone stares at me, I try to explain the joke, but I just get frustrated and give up because no is familiar with Star Wars. This video was made by ResidentPenguin. We have earlier showed some of his stuff, so don’t miss out on He-Man and Tribute to the relaxed Jumpsuit
