Star Wars Battlefront 2 Economy Change, Free Content Planned
DICE have finally broke the silence and updated the community on future updates to the game. Here is the break down: End-of-round payout increase: EA promises that every activity will now see an increase in credits earned across the board, and top players will also receive an additional increase in credits won post-match. 3X Credit increase daily in Arcade Mode: Players have been hitting the daily cap in Arcade Mode, which is why EA has increased the payout to give players more of an incentive to play. Daily login crates increase: Players will now receive additional crafting materials every time they log in for the for the day. Are you looking for a bit of Star Wars lightsaber action to perk up your day? You may want to take a 5-minute break and check out this awesome fan fic. It’s short, so it gets right to the action immediately. It’s called “Rescue”, which gives you a good idea of what’s going on when you start, but it has a twist ending you probably won’t see coming. I won’t spoil it for you, of course, but you should really check it out. It’s a short fan film with a lot of potential. There’s very little voice acting in it, but there doesn’t need to be. Honestly, that’s a testimony to the directing and the story. When you get tell the story without a ton of dialogue, it really says something. Eric Musco just updated the community on some changes to daily missions in game update 5.6 and 5.6.1 Hey folks, Ok, let’s talk about what changed in 5.6 and what is changing in 5.6.1 since they are tied together. 5.6 – In this Game Update we removed the Galactic Command interface from the game along with changing Group Finder to Activity Finder. As a part of this change some Missions were removed from the game as they were explicitly tied into either Galactic Command or Group Finder respectively. This is why the Daily Mission to send you to the those areas is no longer there. The weekly is intended to be the “wrapper” Mission for all of the dailies in that area, which is a change we made coming off of the “bugged” CXP values previously. Battlefront 2 Microtransactions Are Gone – For Now
Players may have won the spat with EA over microtransactions in Battlefront II, but it’s not over. EA and DICE announced they would temporarily turn off the feature and many players rejoiced, counting this one a victory. However, the announcement made it very clear that loot boxes would be returning at some point in the future. “The ability to purchase crystals in-game will become available at a later date, only after we’ve made changes to the game,” said the statement. “We’ll share more details as we work through this.” So, this brings forth a couple of questions: How could they bring this back in a way that won’t create outrage? How will they recover from the death of microtransactions? By now, you know all about the drama of EA’s Battlfront II after they announced the loot box system that would come with the game. This meant that in addition to the $60-80 you would pay for the base game, you could also spend more money on digital “boxes” that have a chance of giving you random benefits. You don’t know what’s in these boxes, it could be a dud like a random emote for your character. However, the boxes do have a chance of giving you something really great. This means the temptation to continue buying boxes until you get the goodies you want is very high. Even if you don’t get a dud, you may still be tempted to continue buying more boxes and continue getting more goodies to help you level up.
