Making of – Star Wars: The Force Unleashed [Behind the Scenes]

Today we have a fun video from NeoGamer – The Video Game Archive about the creation of Star Wars: The Force Unleashed.

The making of Star Wars: The Force Unleashed, interview with the actors and the developers of all the versions of the game. Check it out here:

As said in the video, they watched the movies to help them generate ideas on what they wanted to do for the games. They expressed not having a shortage of ideas, but rather, deciding how to narrow down their ideas into things that really should go into Star Wars: The Force Unleashed.

They also explain the importance of sticking to canon but adding new ideas and concepts to the game. They talk about the process of running ideas by Lucas and getting input for their team on how to create different aspects of the game and stay keeping in the Star Wars spirit and energy that we all know and love.

They also show you all of the behind-the-scenes work with the actors that make everything in the game so dynamic. It’s far more than just voice-overs – it’s basically acting from the shoulder’s up. It’s shot the way they would shoot a film, and the actors get their facial expressions and emotions in. This makes for a truly dynamic and realistic game experience from the characters.

There’s so much good stuff in this video. If you are a fan of the game, you really should take some time to watch this.

Lisa has been an avid gamer since she was old enough to hold her first controller and a game writer for more than a decade. A child of the Nintendo generation, she believes they just don’t make games like they used to but sometimes, they make them even better! While consoles will always be her first love, Lisa spends most of her gaming time on the PC these days- on MMOs and first-person shooters in particular.
