This week I sat down with some awesome people from The Order of the Sith Lords, a RPPvE guild that looks to be a lot of fun, hope you all enjoy.
Where did your guilds name come from?
Well Vandin and I as huge SW fans took the name from Bane’s Sith legacy. A lot of people started to make fun of when we first started but hey, we are still here haha.
Can you give me a quick 2-3 sentance description of your guild?
Our guild mainly wants to focus on the PVE aspect of the game, we have a lot of members with a past when it comes to raiding. On the other hand we are also HUGE nerds and we will be doing a lot of RP events with other guilds.
How did your guild come about?
Vandin and I had been following SWTOR for about two years and had been playing MMO’s together for awhile, we played SWG for longer than we should have haha. We figured we had been in great guilds before and learned the tricks of the trade, that maybe it was time for us to try to make one of our own. It has been a learning experience for us both and I think that we have managed to get it down now.
What kind of play style do you focus on? PvE, PvP, RP:
Our over all main focus will be on PVE and raiding, we are going to be semi-hardcore even though we know that is kind of a odd way to put it. We understand that people have lives outside of MMO’s and have other things that they need to take care of in there actual lives. We will also be giving members a great RP experience, we have been doing old school play by thread stuff and story writing.
What is your guild set up? How do you run your guild?
Our guild has me (Malus) as the over all main leader, with Vandin my SIC leading the council. We try to keep the amount of titles we have to a minimun because in our experience it can make things confusing. There are only eight council memebrs at a time so they vote on major things and the rest is just Vandin and I doing what we do.
How serious do you play and/or run the guild?
We like to have a good time with our guild and the members we aren’t above joking around on threads and making fun of each other from time to time. We will raid very hard though and will take raiding very seriously, we aren’t going to force players to play a certain way for us. The point of a guild is to join like minded people right?
Do you have ranks or a certain hierarchy in your guild?
If yes, could you tell us a bit about it? As stated above yes, however too many titles for a small guild can kill it so we try to keep it simple. We only have two raid leaders in different time zones to cover all of the bases, the rest is above and is very simple.
Why did you choose the Republic?
We chose Sith because lets face it Sith are better, just kidding calm down. We chose Sith because we always sided more with them in the movies and in the EU, we have always been the “Bad Guys” in every game not just MMO’s. You better believe Revan was for sure dominating the Republic when we were playing KOTOR.
Why do you run a guild?
We just wanted to make a fun experience that was laid back and not so hectic for some good people, end of story.
How do you approach Raid Planning?
We will take it very serious, if you say you will be at a Raid be there don’t make promises you cant keep. We will try different stuff and if we all just get merced every time we will switch it up and hit the good old chalk board again.
Are you always open for new recruits or do you want to keep a certain guild size?
We would like to keep our guild some what smaller but we arent going to turn down good people who want to have fun, thats what we are here for. We like the tight family feel of our guild and we would like to keep it that way.
Age Requirement?
We do have an age requirment on our guild and our titles, you must be 15 to get into the guild and at least 16 to be granted a title.

25-30
What makes your guild stand out from everyone else? What makes your guild unique?
The laid back style I think, and I’m crazy about good RP stories and sticking to SW canon. We have large on-going stories most of the time members can get into and get there name out there in the guild.
How do you spend your time until release? Do you know each other in real life or do you spend a lot of time on forums?
We spend a ton of time on our forums talking to each other, and yes a few of us know each other in real life but not the whole guild.
What Other Games are you currently playing as a guild?
A few of us are playing RIFT some others are playing Jedi Knight Jedi Academy, just a good mix of all games.
