BioWare have a small present for us today. Instead of a 205% XP bonus, the SWTOR devs decided to up the CXP bonus to 350% until patch 5.1.2. Update to the 250% CXP Event. | 02.07.2017, 10:09 AM Hey folks, The math savvy among you are going to notice the current CXP boost in the game for the event is operating at 350% instead of 250% as we originally stated. Since the Mission buffs are coming in 5.1.2 we decided to make the boost even larger until then! Since this was a last minute change, the in-game tooltip will still state 250% but the bonus is in fact 350%. Note that XP and Requisition are still 250%. The clock is ticking for the new SWTOR expansion and as we get closer to the actual release, gamers are getting ready in a variety of ways. The subscriber perk that gives you 12x XP is also winding down and if you want to get the most of it before it ends on October 19th, here are some tips. Prepare in advance. It sounds like a no-brainer but the more things you can get ready in advance, the faster you will be able to level your characters and take full advantage of this XP boost while it lasts. My Thoughts On 12x Experience In SWTOR!
Is the bonus for Shadows of Revan a good idea? Is BioWare making the right move by offering this 12x experience bonus to those who subscribe and preorder? Here we have an interesting video from Zach Sharpes that presents this question and then looks to answer it by trying it out. Not everyone likes the 12x experience, actually. Here is one post as an example that brings up a very good point. What if it were on a toggle? Not everyone wants to take advantage of the 12x experience. But yesterday, Associate Producer for Star Wars: The old Republic, Andrew Horwitz, posted a new developer blog about the The Class Story Leveling Event, that is going on right now. So we talk about SWTOR Double XP weekends a lot here, for obvious reasons. But let’s consider for a moment if they are not really as good for the community as they may seem. Just for the sake of discussion, let’s look at it from another perspective. What happens during a double XP weekend? Generally, more players flock back to the game who never got around to leveling up alts. Some might bring their friends as well. Or you might even get some brand new players to the game who just want to take advantage of the opportunity to level up fast. Double XP from the event combined with any other Cartel Market boosters or guild bonuses and you can get level 20 before leaving the planet you’re on. Imperial Agents in SWTOR can become one of two advanced classes at level 10, an Operative (DPS / Healing Class) or a Sniper (Ranged DPS). The Operative is a ranged DPS/Healing class with light armor. It’s the last double XP weekend and the last weekend before the release of Game Update 2.0 and Rise of the Hutt Cartel for those who are eligible for ‘early access’ so this is your chance to get the most from this experience while you still can. BioWare have news today were they introduce upcoming double XP Weekends. You heard that right, 2x XP weekends … and they will stack with all current in game XP buffs. First Level 50s in the United States Emerge
Still days before the official launch of SWTOR, we hear reports of people reach max level already. There are a few level 25+ in my guild already and they all have jobs and/or families and other responsibilities. At least a couple of them will reach 50 easily before December 20th.
